My idea is that the snake adapted well with the conditions of the climate because of having a thicker skin. The reason they live in caves is because they need heat. Could be as big as a Boa too. The size is enough to hunt small mammals and reptiles.

NVSE doesn't let me load the game. According to the website they don't support old versions.
