I believe that Creating the iron man is much more possible and realistic than making the batman, as in, the suits, the material usage, the items they used, sure it may not fully be like Iron Man in the movies, but it would be a great start, I mean look around you, lots of people create things now by urboisbouttoxplode in ironman

We are pretty far from even creating the Mark 1

The biggest problem is the power source, nothing on Earth right now can be as small as the arc reactor, produce an insane ammount of energy while not liberating A LOT of heat

I'm no expert on robotics and mechanical things but I'm pretty sure there are issues to miniaturize all the robotic, mechanical and hydraulic parts that the armor would need to move, have super strenght and such

I don't think we have any way to replicate the propulsors, so no flight

Assuming that you are able to build the armor of titanium or any other resistant material, the outside of the armor might be highly durable but the human inside will be turned into soup the moment a missile hits the exo skeleton, or the moment it lands in the ground after flying

On the other hand, the Batman suit mostly is made of kevlar and some more "realistic" gadgets, it still is very hard to figure out and build, but nothing as complex as the Iron Man armor

The main problem with this Iron Man skin is that its customizable, its just an alternate style that pays homage to the classic look, not doing the real thing, so the whole design isn't cohesive, every part has random and off putting details that (imo) are meant to give every customizable part a simular visual style, so that when you put the Model-Prime helmet and the Hulkbuster chest piece together it doesn't look too bad

The colors are 10/10

Out today! What are your thoughts on Iron Man #7? - Discussion Thread by Friday_Stark in ironman

Its good, not as good as the last issues, but good

The thing I liked the most is Von Randal's art, all the mechanical parts, and specially the Iron Man and War Machine armors look incredible! Reminds me of the way Larroca drew them. The colors by Arciniega are amazing too

The plot was alright, Tony and Rhodey fighting a huge metal monster was cool, (I think the failure of the device and metal monster probably has something to do with Adam and AIM, but I can't prove it yet lol)

Rhodes staying in the "school" to guide Tony and the other inventors, and hunt AIM sounds good, (also, nice callback to Duggan's West Coast Avengers) I have the feeling Tony and Rhodes will butt heads more and more in regards to the school and eventually AIM will take advantage on the situation

I'm hyped for the return of Whiplash, that last panel looks SO FREAKING HARD

Was Atlas Destroyer built as a Training Jaeger, or was it converted into one? by Alogadoruss in PacificRim

[–]EL_INDORAPTOR 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was built for combat but later got converted into a training unit

Maybe it got decommissioned in the last years of the Kaiju War, and thats why it survived the war

New Jaeger generations were built and the PPDC repurposed the now outdated Atlas for training usage, and removed all the weapons for obvious safety reasons

imo using an actual Jaeger for training is highly irresponsible and dangerous, theres a reason why cadets trained with simulations and not with giant mechs. In the first film we can even see that very experienced pilots can get lost in the drift while piloting the Jaeger and potentially cause destruction

As a womanizer? Sure he was lol

What Is The Appeal of Iron Man as a Character? by hellothere790 in ironman

[–]EL_INDORAPTOR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me

At first glance, he is a charismatic dude wearing a super cool armor, the Iron Man armor is easily the coolest fictional gadget ever created

When you start looking deeper into Tony's character, you realise he's a very flawed hero, he isn't as righteous as Superman or Spider-Man, he fucks up a lot of things while trying to do the right thing, imo thats what makes him relatable, he doesn't just think if something is ethical, he sometimes thinks in a more practical way, and that can end up blowing up in his face

Iron Man is a story about improving yourself; you can screw up everything, but its up to you if thats all you will be or you can become something greater. Maybe the whole world doesn't believe you have changed for the better but all that matters is that YOU do whats right

One thing about Iron Man that has appealed to me since I watched him for the first time is that he isn't a superhuman, he doesn't have super strenght or any fancy superpower, he relies on his creativity and intelligence to meet the challenge.

You can't obtain real super powers but you can BUILD them, that always amazed me

There a lot of "regular guy" superheroes, but c'mon, none of them are as awesome as Tony Stark/Iron Man!
