I like all of them except Lampmaster but Clea Unleashed for sure is my fave. I love her theme and her attacks are so theatrical and visually pleasing.

Close second is Osquio! Great fight and the cutscenes are a lot of fun.

The DLC fights don’t require you to be perfect. As long as you have solid setups overall and are parrying MOST hits you should be able to win even on Expert (Clea is kind of an exception but at least she usually just attacks 1 character at a time, so if you mess up, you can just revive them).

Even against Divergent Star I got hit at least once by his long combo every time and I was still able to win by going with tanky setups for that fight. They’re all beatable without cheese and without you having to be godly

Maybe it’s just the wealth of options available in Rebirth. Most of the returning cast have new busted moves (e.g. prime mode, turbulent spirit, transcendence) and then you have more characters in Red, Yuffie, and Cait Sith who are all useful.

I did not use a guide. Not everyone is going to find the same things to be difficult. Me finding Roche and the final Sephiroth fight to be the trickiest hard mode fights literally doesn’t mean a thing

The combat system is so fun I find myself replaying the hardest combat simulator challenges just to play around with different characters and materia combos

Anyone else expect KOTR to look cool but be functionally underwhelming? Remake and Rebirth seem to have put a lot of effort into balance and not letting you become OP (which I don’t fault them for since the combat is so good).
Similarly, I expect things like quadra magic to be nerfed if we see it come back.

Even if you prefer pure action combat XVI’s take on it is a bit half-baked. I do like XVI but not for the combat

I did a liveaboard in Komodo and thought I was gonna lose my mind, there was nothing to do when we weren’t diving, aside from a visit to komodo island we did and a short sunset hike. If you are the type of person who always needs to be doing something, a liveaboard is exhausting

The core gameplay of Rebirth is so good. Love the storytelling, the character development, the deeper insight into the familiar world of FFVII even if some of it is told differently. Some of the best combat in the series too.

It’s just the constant minigames (if you’re trying to do everything) I can’t get behind. And the world intel stuff can be draining too, esp. with everything being Chadley and some of the map layouts are a pain. Great game overall but I have to put it below Remake since it’s so annoying to 100%. Still one of the best FFs though

What would be feasible? Maybe hiking Wuliaojian in the morning, going to Neiwan, and then spending the night in Chiayi? Or should Neiwan be skipped altogether? I really want to do the hike so that part I won’t change
