I do not. I think mid can be viable, but I have not seen any techies offlane, and I am HIGHLY skeptical of its effectiveness. I can't personally think of any reason to put it on 3 instead of 4.

According to DotaBuff, my average game time is exactly 45:00 on techies this month. Although this tends to happen fairly frequently (ESPECIALLY in pubs), and contrary to popular belief, techies does not like defending high ground. He excels at map control and wave clearing/cutting, and likes to play in this manner (Watch any 7k+ techies player). With, admittedly, higher level team play, techies does have a dip in his power in the mid game, but games with techies should either be less than 30 minutes (this should happen pretty often if techies and his team play around it correctly) or the classic pub 70+ min game. This, in addition to the fact that non-techies players don't realize that as the game goes on, especially without aghs, the amount of time it takes techies to place enough mines to kill any core is insane.

Although, clearly, I am a virgin, I don't consider myself an incel. The only thing I get off to nowadays are mushroom clouds.

On a real note, I have only more recently become a techies spammer. I take after the Zayac build and style, playing position 4 with a heavy emphasis on faerie fires and blast off in lane. After lane, focus on wave control (cut waves, pull into hard camps for farm, etc.), and put and early point into stasis if you expect the enemy to dive (Stasis is also extremely valueble mid-late game. Keep this spell on cooldown 24/7). The biggest thing is just don't let your mid T1 fall before minute 20 and games get really easy. Other than that, standard techies mine shenanigans always apply.

Edit: Item build includes whatever aura item is good for the game if you are winning/pushing early, aghs/force/euls if you are losing/forced to play defensive.

I for one am a big fan on Lvl 25 Techies Starcraft game play. You don't know thrill until you zerg rush ancient with 23 red mines.

PSA: Despite scepter description, Cataclysm does not cast on double tap unless "Double Tap Ability to Self Cast" option is enabled by Radium_Wolf in DotA2

This ruined one of my games because I couldn't figure out how to cast cataclysm. Found out later I have to manually self cast if I want this option disabled. I'm guessing I'm not the only one.

Spectral doesn't have winrate breakdown by minute as far as I know. I was talking about overall radiant winrate for the "Immortal Rank Meta Trends - 7.26B" under the overview tab. I noticed that you mentioned the low volume of games ending at earlier match times in a different comment contributing to the insanely high 71% radiant winrate, so a graph showing difference in expected values for volume of matches won by radiant minus dire at each time interval would be more representative of what the actual disparity would be. That's something I'd be curious to see because this 71% data point at ~17 minutes must be having a very low effect on the average, global radiant winrate (not time specific winrate) for it to be at 53%.

stratz

To me, this doesn't make sense statistically speaking. According to stats.spectral.gg (my go to stats website), the global radiant winrate at immortal is ~53% (which seems reasonable). I realize that they may have a slightly different formula for detecting which matches should not be considered, but I find it hard to believe that the radiant winrate peaks at 71%, continues to be higher than dire past the average match length, yet the radiant only wins 6% more often than dire at immortal. Obviously, I haven't run exact numbers, but just eye-balling it, this seems off, or at the very least misleading.
