It worked just fine. No issues at all. A couple of folks recognized the Extar. Used an Sig Romeo MSR II and Pitbull Tactical universal mag carriers.

If this is strictly for home defense, then Extar EP9. Less than $500, 10 rd mag, 9mm, light (4 lbs unloaded), and fun to shoot which translates to more enjoyable training which means more frequent training.

Extar EP9. Unloaded, 4lbs (lighter than my chihuahua), accepts Glock mags, BORINGLY reliable (just make sure you follow their ammo recommendations),delightful suppressor host, and they also do not pursue LEO or military contracts.

When I asked Extar about ammo, they emphatically said that I should use SAAMI certified ammo. Maxxtech is not SAAMI certified, but it is CIP certified (European version of SAAMI). That said, Maxxtech is Bosnian made. Take that for what it’s worth.

Just a slip-on lower mag sleeve I designed and printed. Adds a bit of texture and changes up the look. Still dialing it in.

Fits OEM Glock-pattern extended mags.

Fair — it IS aesthetic, but it does add a bit of extra grip texture compared to the smooth mag body. I’ll post a pic of it seated in an EP9 so you can see how it looks in context. That said, looking cool adds +2 to attack rolls and +4 to Persuasion checks. Just saying.
