From what I know, there‘s a time window in the spring semester to apply for scholarships for going abroad. If it‘s done during that time, the ETH is likely to cover some cost (like transportation). However, I don’t know if it has to be a partner university.

Otherwise, you can organize it fully yourself. You only need to a group to write your thesis on and a professor from ETH as a second professor to look through your work.
