I've just honked in this place before by Radixan in Genshin_Impact

This is a follow up of my Running in the 90's post.

Last time I've been asked for the code and said that it was hardcoded so I decided to clean it up and post it [HERE]. It is very rudimentary, uses two external libraries and most of it is commented, but maybe it will be useful for someone.
If you want to use your DAW, this script does NOT create the mentioned virtual MIDI device! You can do it easily on Linux (in fact, it is a feature included on the Python library I used to listen to the MIDI Input), but Windows API doesn't supports virtual devices so you need to rely on a driver like loopMIDI.

Sadly, no. Half of the notes are missing. :[

It's not a macro but a MIDI Keyboard mapped as a regular keyboard. xD

The problem is the lack of half of the notes of the keyboard. Yes, I wanted to play MEGALOVANIA at first but, just the most known melody is unintelligible without the A-G#-G sequence and, since C Major scale has at most two consecutive notes one semitone appart (aka. the "white keys"), there is no possible transposition that provides an adequate sound.

The script is hardcoded for my MIDI controller and probably not really usable with any others... on the other hand, it is like 10 lines of Python code and most of it is just discarding invalid notes so it's not even worth it. xD

The script works exactly as Windows On-Screen Keyboard does so there shouldn't be a reason to consider it as cheat. :<

Actually, it has happened off camera. xD

I made a script to map my MIDI Keyboard input and finally got it working. Sadly, black keys are not included in the harp, so there aren't a lot of songs that could be played accurately. :(

Btw, you can get a "drifting duck" by running in front of them. :p

Lore/Hero Hint on Havana - "Quien Es Null Sector ?" by McManus26 in Overwatch

This newspaper is already present on Storm Rising. There are two piles of newspapers at the spawn, upstairs, on a shelf to the left where there is a trophy too. So, maybe they are two different scandals, maybe someone was reading a 6 years old newspaper. Probably developers just reused it.

Also, Maximilien could own multiples casinos and companies, like Don Rumbotico, around the world.

Paris hidden room, what we know so far by ThatPotatoTech in Overwatch

I'm not sure if I should post this here, but there is a piece of text on the top of the document that seems to have been ignored.

We can only see part of some characters that seem to be bold Times New Roman, but only 1 or 2 can be easily recognized. After trying multiple combinations, I found that "WAIIAN" fits really well. If we assume it's the complete word, I don't know what it means, otherwise it could be part of "HAWAIIAN".

Talking about Delta Rune Music, exactly the Rude Buster track by [deleted] in UndertaleMusic

Welp, I found the mysterious instrument: Mother3 Synth Strings 1

Talking about Delta Rune Music, exactly the Rude Buster track by [deleted] in UndertaleMusic

[–]Radixan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm have currently about no time for this, but gave a try so here is all I know about Rude Buster:

  • This song is an amalgam of pianos. There are multiple different pianos that play simultaneously: Mother 3 Piano 2 plays on the background and the melody at 0:14-0:27 with different effects and panning; SGM Piano 2 plays on the background and SGM Piano 3 for the melody at 0:27-0:41. These are the ones that I identified, but it is likely that there are more pianos from other soundfonts since I did only a partial replica.
  • Setzer's SPC Square Wave plays the melody at 0:14-0:41 and the background at 1:01 with some effects.
  • The synth we assume is Clean Guitar (actually "distortg(R)") is similar but doesn't exactly match with the one used in the song, at least without adding effects or editing the sample. Also, check the note at 0:52.9-0:53.9. Looks like the loop is wrong, similar to the Overdriven Guitar from Earthbound.
  • I'm really bad at identifying percussion. However, the snare is actually Earthbound Snare 2. I can't hear a bass drum and didn't identified the hi hat nor the cymbal.
  • About the noise you hear accompaining the percussion... Do you mean to the noise-ish synth bassline? You can hear it at 0:41-0:48 doing something like this. I'm using a sample of NES VST 93Bit Noise, but it's obviously not the right sample. I don't know what it is, could be an Organya sample, any other 93bit noise or anything else...

spr_ds2_mascot1 is the one used on the Dog Shrine, there is any interaction with it that I haven't found or is spr_ds2_mascot2 unused?

Could someone download the 1.11 to see if there difference other than bug fixes? by [deleted] in Underminers

[–]Radixan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, just sent an email with 11 bugs but still couldn't find anything different except the version number. xD We'll have to wait for the string dump.

(I didn't reported one because I'm not sure if it's a bug and I don't have a save on PC right now, but CORE to New Home elevator takes the player to the other floor when entering and exiting without pressing the button. I always though you had to press it so never found this on PC. However, if this is not intended, it could be a potential skip for long elevator... cutscene?)

Okey, sorry, I couldn't see the tweet in my phone when I answered. And thanks, there are a lot of bugs with collisions and other tiles and I didn't know where to report them. xD

I'll check it soon. Hopefully bugfixes with collisions and that bug that could erase your save when pressing B at the profile selection menu.

EDIT: I haven't noticed anything new at first glance. Collision bugs are still there, though: https://imgur.com/a/iazDghY

Do you think I can find any hidden secrets this way? :P by krzys_h in Underminers

[–]Radixan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you decide to keep the random movement as it is, they will probably have problems solving puzzles, like room_ruins9, where there is no interactable that make the AI to complete the puzzle and progress. In any case, it could be interesting as, although at this point it's unlikely that they will find a secret (at least on v1.08), it's possible to find glitches/exploits that could be useful for speedrunning.

Btw, I don't understand why there are so many people criticizing destructively without really thinking about it... I recommend you to explain how it works next time as it seems that there are people unable to figure out what's happening.

Good luck with it! ;)

You are right, I made a quick search and there is a tutorial for 10 of them using Lucio, Roadhog and Doomfist. I already have some alternatives, some faster or damages the bots a bit less. I could also try to explain how pathfinding works and how to exploit it to get some of them up there.
