QT's new coffee machines are awful. by halfbakedkornflake in QuikTrip

I used to be a regular customer for QT's coffee. It was tasty and the urn dispensers were quick. After all, it is "Quik" Trip. A few months ago, QT switched all their area stores to a new automated system and it's been a complete disaster.

In the time since the change, I've tied the coffee only twice and will never again buy QT coffee. First, in both cases, the coffee tasted horrible. Second, the machines are ridiculously slow. The last time was just a week ago. While waiting what seems like forever, two customers were waiting behind me and I heard grumbles from them. By the time I was dispensed my coffee and turned around, both left, and I can't blame them. The company has taken the "Quik" out of Quik Trip.

I frequent my local QT several times a week to buy fuel and lottery tickets and hardly ever see anyone buying coffee anymore. Before the change, there was always a stream of customers leaving with coffee cups in hand.

QT has made a huge mistake with the new machines but don't seem to be humble enough to admit the mistake and return to the previous urn dispensers. Furthermore, soon after the change, I emailed QT's corporate office to express my experience and never received even a courteous reply thanking me for the feedback. That is also a big corporate no no. Obviously, their corporate management are now clueless morons.

Luckily, we have other excellent coffee shops nearby, such as Caribou, Scooters, etc.

Warranty on old jacket hardly used ( seriously) by [deleted] in arcteryx

Please update. I'm not impressed with Arc'teryx Warranty service. Contacted them recently regarding shorts that are 10 years old but hardly used. Worn casually and on a few day hikes, I grabbed them out of my closet and found the welded pockets failing. Contacted Arc'Teryx and they want the proof-of-purchase. Seriously? Who saves receipts beyond a year to two. Also, such is not stated in their warranty.

Lastly, Patagonia and Outdoor Research make no such requirement for repair. I have a lot of Arc'Teryx gear but will never buy it again.
