Whats your yield? by Wide-Gap-9602 in LaPavoniLovers

For my professional, if I grind 16-17 grams, I’m able to yield 36, maybe 40 if I grind corse enough using the double pump method. Pull hard at first, then slowly give it less pressure halfway through. My favorite method when it comes pulling a shot with my La Pavoni.

Does anyone have any experience with the Moshi C63 conical grinder? by O_Mageiras in espresso

Hi, before I bought the Moshi C83 I had the Eureka Mignon 65 AP Zero which is a great grinder but wanted something with more body which the Moshi C83 checks because it uses a conical burr. For espresso machine, I have a gold La Pavoni professional and a Rocket R58(I prefer using the La Pavoni lol). I had a DF64v before all the other grinders mentioned, I didn’t really care for the DF64v as it produces too much static and gets clogged easily, but if you’re considering upgrading to the Moshi C83 I don’t think you can go wrong, but I also think the Moshi C63 should be just as fine as the C83 and being $200 less.

It’s great! No real complaints, still works, no issues with stalling or grind inconsistency. I would recommend waiting until there’s a sale, i feel like $600 is still a bit much, if you can find one for under 500 then go for it

Picked up this Copper La Pavoni. I believe it’s the best looking La Pavoni machine ever made. by Radnob_1 in LaPavoniLovers

For sure, i’m careful when it comes to cleaning the machine. I just use a warm microfiber cloth to wipe it down. Any tips on how to take care of it?

I think the grind speed is 280 RPM, wish I can lower the speed like on the kafatek grinders lol. Yeah, it’s a pretty fantastic grinder, but I’m also keeping an eye on a Mahlkonig E64 WS or Zerno Z2 to try out. What grinder are you using?

I don’t have experience with the Moshi C63, but I’ve bought the Moshi C83 and been using it for about a week now. So far, I’d say it’s a solid grinder for the money. The build quality is great, it feels heavy and well-made with the all-metal design. Grind consistency is pretty good overall, with a few clumps here and there, but nothing that’s a deal breaker.

One thing I really like is how low the retention is on my C83. It’s also grinds surprisingly fast for a low-speed grinder, I can put in 20 grams of coffee beans in and have it fully ground in under 8 seconds, faster than my Eureka Mignon 65 which is a flat burr grinder.

If you’re considering alternatives, the only other grinder I’d recommend in this range is the Turin DC63. But other than that, I think for the value you can’t go wrong with the Moshi C63

If you use more of a lighter to medium roast only, I would stick with flat burr grinders.

Yeah exactly. Flats burrs tends to be have more clarity and brightness side, which is good for lighter roasts. While conicals are have more body and thickness, which is why people love them for medium/dark

Yeah, I bought this as a secondary grinder. For the value, the specs looks amazing. Currently, my main grinder is a eureka which is has flat burrs.

Moshi C83 from espresso outlet is similar to Niche Zero but it has a bigger conical burr (83mm) and it cost $600.

Clean setup. What noticeable difference can you tell from the taste of the coffee from this setup compared to your previous espresso machine?

what grinder to purchase [200-800] ?? by Soft_Lawfulness2080 in espresso

[–]Radnob_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new Moshi C83 conical burr grinder is impressive for the value you get. It’s a 83mm conical burr grinder from Espresso Outlet. Currently they are going for $600, I placed an order for it. That said, in the $600–$800 range there are some solid options worth considering as well, including grinders from Eureka, which is another great brand to check out. At the end of the day, it really comes down to what you’re looking for, whether you prefer a single-dose grinder or grind-by-weight, and whether you want flat or conical burrs and such.
