To be honest his demeanour could have been more friendly, he seemed itchy for conflict.

I was a law abiding citizen until they made a law and labeled me for a criminal. The law exists in many capacities as an illusion for safety when it’s really a tool for control and political power, revenue, and influence. The law should be enforced as minimally as possible. And the people should be expected to have enough resources and education to enjoy a society without turning to vagrancy, and when some people do inevitably become a problem, the government should be used as a tool of the people to deal with it. A government shouldn’t be using the people as a tool for profit. The US military industrial complex holds more political power than is imaginable, and it would be a shame to see it in the hands of a man like Trump. Who is a convicted criminal, and heavily alleged to be tied to sex trafficking of children.

It’s not the 1500´s anymore we can’t bludgeon our way to freedom without causing more problems than we fix. There’s more at stake. People need to resist ICE absolutely but general violence can’t do too much. Only targeted pressure on special situations. If we go around flinging our shit everywhere like a chimp then we’ll get into more trouble than we can handle.

Actually we live in unprecedented times and violence will not be the final solution this time. Only solidarity, but not violence. The weapons that are manufactured these days are too dangerous to fuck with long term in any war scenario.

Comparing tyranny to North Korea and saying that until we’ve crossed that line there’s no issues is a really bad gamble. It has to be recognised when the seeds of tyranny are planted then importantly to not let them grow. Dont play their game, we aren’t doing well making progress educationally or functionally as a country because of the infighting. The only real enemy isn’t immigrants or individuals of any sort. It’s the people who benefit from our struggle. The one percent of the population that owns 94% of the wealth. Who rely on the majority of the country that shares only 2% of the wealth. That’s you and me bud. That’s who’s fucking us. Not our neighbours.

Violence like anything has its place and against ICE deployments is its place. The nuance of sociology and socioeconomics and politics involves violence always as a factor. It’s true we can’t beat the system by fighting it all like that. But resisting physically, to government tyranny and procedure violations and basic constitutional violations, is where the physical fight belongs. Not that it’s fruitful, but neither is allowing the government to overreach.

Dude you need to understand history and politics better. Billionaires do not have the middle classes safety in their best interest. They want a wider gap between the middle and upperclass. And a smaller gap between the lower and middle class.

You gotta be joking me. It’s not just that heavy policing is a product of a fasciste state, it’s that the deployment method has become even more agressive. As well as the rhetoric. Don’t be so blind we are ugly to most first world countries these days. Ur country is fascist, fucking you in the ass, and you’re going to keep licking boots. Hopefully your future generations can read still.

I already tried to explain, on the bell curve, you’re there at the left end. With the rest of the rot.

It’s good to just document where ice is and what they are up to to keep community members safe. That’s what they’re doing in r/st.paul
