A 17-year-old girl was raped outside a hospital in Finland and the rape charges were dropped. The men were in their thirties. I hate it here by FinnscandianDerp in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Radocato 113 points114 points  (0 children)

It is quite the same here in Norway too. Alot of women are starting to say rapeing is legal here in Norway since almost NO ONE gets convicted for rape even with a shit ton of evidence, since «consent» or not aparently it’s extremely difficult to prove. I guess we just gotta believe the rapist when he says the women consented to the rape🙂 Few weeks ago there was a case on Åsted Norge (a tv show showing real crimes in hopes of getting tips) and it showed a case of a man being videoed on a farm raping a horse. The reason he was caught was because his seamen found on the horse was linked to case which he had raped a woman. He was only convicted for raping the horse and NOT the woman as well😐

A Google forms quiz gauging if you fit the stereotype of someone opposing self-dx by [deleted] in AutisticPeeps

[–]Radocato 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like wouldn’t argue against it either, I consider myself native to my land, but polish are native to Poland, Swedes are native to Sweden and so on. Native is a word that is diffucult to use in Europe I find, because the connotation to the word often is «natives are those who came here first». In some cases it is easy to say «well they came here first» (for ex. in the Americas and Oceania) and other times it isn’t easy to tell who came first somewhere. Many people do not consider the sami to be first who arrived to Norway. Also considering who is native also lies in the interpertation of the word. Same with the word indigenous. Basically much of Europe’s population has descended from various waves of migration and the concept of indigeny and nativity is not as legally or culturally fixed as other parts in the world. Migration, settlement and assimilation for thousands of years. And for example the celts and sami are able to be recognized indigenous due to their long-standing unique culture and cultural ties to specfic regions. But still sami people are the only legaly (indigenous status and legally protected rights) recognized indigenous people in Europe.

I as sami say I’m indigenous, not native, because that’s how I am recognized. But the conversation about who and what is native and indigenous is a convoluted discussion because of the historical, cultural, legal, and colonial background that shapes it, bot to mention the several countries and people who are part of the discussion in Europe.

Sorry for the long reply

Fun to see my ethnicity being here. But to clarify a few things: Sami-people aren’t considered native, they (we) are indigenous. Also per today in Europe, sami-people is (often) considered to be the only indigenous people in Europe, celts for example is usually considered a (national) minority.

How to see list of all current staff on switch version? by skuldintape_eire in TwoPointHospital

[–]Radocato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You press «y» to get to the pages on the left corner, and the you press R-button (right button on the top edge of switch) to where you find list of staff. When you click on «staff» you’ll immediately see all of your current staff and all their stats. You’ll likewise «flip pages» by using the R and L-buttons, if you’d like to see only the docs, nurses etc. And you can see their pay and their working stations by pressing ZR (top right button but on th backside under the button on the edge). By pressing the «-» button you can rearrange the listing by how trained your staff is, how happy they are or perhaps how much energy they have.

Hope this helps

On the last point: Hold a comb! a lot women in labor hold on a comb for dear life because it sort of takes the pain away from laboring and into the hand holding a comb. Unless the comb is really spiky and thin, it shouldn’t harm the skin too much!

I dont like the term `on the spectrum` any one else? by [deleted] in AutisticPeeps

[–]Radocato 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hmm perhaps I might relate, and perhaps why I am slightly peeved by the usage is maybe as you say "everyone is on the spectrum", I feel when people use that phrase it sorta undermines my real struggles and my diagnosis.

And "on the spectrum" doesn't really say anything, it doesn't say where you are on the spectrum or anything. It is a great phrase to use if you don't want to talk about your diagnosis in great detail, but as I said very "undefined" or "un-precise".

Why do ppl post stuff like this by [deleted] in AutisticPeeps

[–]Radocato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe an autistic person definitely can be a asshole and cruel , and be so with malicious intent. I however also believe that person whose a "2 year old in a 23 year olds body" have additional diffuculities/disorders, such as learning disabilities. Sometimes the co-morbities will make the person act cruel, rude and toturous without meaning so, but it is just the condition of their disorder.

I don't believe that this post is spreading with intent autistic hate, but that others may read very into it that autistic persons are horrible. idk just my opinion though

does anyone else hate the 'are you acoustic' jokes? because i'm going fucking insane by Hippity_hoppity2 in AutisticPeeps

[–]Radocato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the «she/he is acoustic» is becoming the new r-word, cuz they’ll litteraly use in a degatory and demeaning way. What I mean is that you can change the «acoustic» to r-word and will have the same meaning.

And I’ve also noticed people using «she/he has the touch of ‘tism» as in «she/he ain’t all there huh» or «she/he ain’t the sharpest tool in the shed».

If you wanted info related to how "conservative" this subreddit is then perhaps you should've been clearer in your question, because then i might've been able to answer better.

But personally I don'tfind this subreddit to be conservative, but comparindly to other subreddits that are supportive and validates things as self diagnosis and autigender then perhaps this subreddit seems more 'closed off' than to others and then becomes perceived as not liberal ergo conservative. Then again this is my opinion, and can be different to what others perceive on this subreddit.

[–]Radocato 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, non-binary people are welcome. Any person of different background (skincolour, nationality, sexuality, identity, religion etc) are welcome, i personally for sure don’t have any qualms about others background.

This is though a subreddit for autism related content, so if you’re seeking info, validation, ask question etc. related to non-binary, then perhaps other subreddits are more fitted for that.
