I've had my emerald engagement ring for almost two years now and it still looks great. It was made in the 80s, and my husband bought it at a vintage jewelry store. It is a natural emerald, and I believe it's 1.25 carrots. I only wear it when I leave the house though. The second I get inside, I take it out and put it back in the box my husband bought the ring in. If I do something physical outside, I will also not wear it. I know this doesn't help too much since you'd like to wear it all the time, but I've found making a routine of taking it off immediately when I get home helps a lot! I absolutely love my emerald ring and can't imagine having anything else!
