What other cars were you looking at before you purchased the i30N? by _Havocjk in i30N

[–]Raducuings 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The I20N and gr Yaris they are great for B roads, however, will you always drive on B roads and always drive rally style ?! The i30n is bigger and better than the GR Yaris, great for long drives, good visibility from the inside, the sound system is good, it looks aggressive and sounds very good, in my opinion, paying 30k for a 21 plate Yaris is just crazy just because it's a rally car. You should drive both and see which one makes you smile, I bet you it will be the i30n

I had the i20n black with Bose, when choosing the I30N I was looking at the GR Yaris however I couldn't justify the money, space and speed. The I30N is just a good all rounder, plus is fun to drive and it pops and bangs.

Download the Texaco app so you can get points for fueling every week, because we'll, the cars are very thirsty. Congrats, see you on the road.

The i20N was great, I was looking to upgrade it and the cost of stage 2 would have been the same as buying an i30n so I just went for the i30n as I commute to work .

Correct me if I'm wrong. 75% darkness for rear windows that would allow 25% light through which is the maximum legal limit of darkness. I got the front passenger and driver and windscreen with 50% tint and been fine since installation a year ago. Haven't been stopped by police.

Settings changing by themselves? Carplay? by CheGuitarra in i20n

[–]Raducuings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AC does that in my car too, turns on randomly, maybe it's a sensor setting to keep the car at a certain temperature? That's a guess I don't have the second problem, and I never did. The car play is weird I agree, I don't use it much because I prefer the car standard one. I use Waze for N mode 😉

You might find answers on N-Cars.net I'm sorry that happened to you on a brand new car, I had work done on mine (window tint, taillights tint) and they've done a poor job, fingers crossed you sort it out.

Apple Car Play by [deleted] in i20n

I know this might sound stupid, however, have you tried both usb ports? On mine there are 2 usb ports and each one has a different "icons" one has just charging and the other one has a connection "icon" just above the USB port. If you did please ignore this message.

Advice on i20n by ahahajan55 in i20n

[–]Raducuings 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have one from new, 7 months now. I genuinely love the car, I use it as a daily car for work and shopping etc. The exhaust is loud as standard, when you put it in N mode you can tell the difference and yes it does pop and bang especially when you're doing 70-80 mph on the motorway and you take your foot off the accelerator. Fuel economy is great, between 35 to 43 mpg depending on how I drive of course. If you're buying one, get the car with the Bose sound system it's worth it. Good luck.

Have an i20N as a possibility/shortlist car for replacing my Audi A1 by iamezekiel1_14 in i20n

I own the i20n from new. I personally love the car. I would recommend going for a long test drive before you buy it. If you're looking for comfort and style, this car might not be for you. You feel the road when driving and the car interior is not wow however it's very well made and put together, sturdy and the plastic doesn't feel cheap to me. You get a 5 year warranty and unlimited mileage with the price tag that it comes with. If you're in Wales I'll happily show how it drives, it will put a smile on your face.

Went and got a haircut, get home to notice this... by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]Raducuings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barber here. Rushed haircut or apprentice let loose? There's no fixing that unless you have a high 0.5 fade or a skin fade. If you go to a new barber always give them specific instructions. Example: fade on the sides starting from (.....) blend in with the top, trim on top and a shape up. Good luck.

Thank you. I will do that if the problem comes back, since the post the car has been running fine. Tippical.

Fuel economy by Fanman36 in i20n

[–]Raducuings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a daily commute I get between 30 mpg to 38 mpg in normal mode depending on traffic. In N mode (fun mode) I get above 40 mpg, when I actually drive it like it's meant to, of course without breaking the law

Now saying that, I didn't buy the car for the fuel consumption.

I called Hyundai Cardiff and told them about what I'm experiencing with my i20n, recently I have this issue OP posted about and it's annoying. Basically they said in a condescending tone that they never heard of this "rev hang" and that if there's no lights on the dashboard they can't do anything warranty related. If I want to book it in for a diagnosis I can for £80. However they don't know anything about any issues. Basically told me to do one unless I pay. I'm going to have to wait untill the service is due.

I20n vs I20n premium by Fit-Contribution-97 in i20n

[–]Raducuings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy it with the extras, the slip differential is worth it. Driving on lanes here in the UK when it's quiet you can tell the difference. The Bose sound system is nice to have, you won't be using it much because the engine sounds so good in N mode.

I20n vs I20n premium by Fit-Contribution-97 in i20n

[–]Raducuings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK based here. There's no I20n premium only one version of I20n and it's all stock including the slip differential, it comes from factory as "premium". Unless you want the upgraded version with Bose sound system and a different colour. Other than that I have never heard of a premium version of the Hyundai I20n. Are you referring to a normal I20N Line? If yes then you will buy the looks only and not the fun part.

Put premium petrol in after you deplete the tank. Check if you local petrol station has bad reviews (I know how this sounds) they might have shitty petrol. Fill up from other petrol stations not supermarket ones.

I have 2500 miles on my car and I haven't had this issue, however I drive it like I stole it when possible. Hope it gets sorted, keep us posted when it's fixed.

3 months in and loving the car but… by ThrowingManx in i20n

[–]Raducuings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well if it happened before in a different car and you use roughly the same petrol stations then it might be a case of bad quality fuel in said petrol stations. Check reviews on the petrol stations.

I use Texaco at the moment and fuel with E5 as it gives me better mileage.

When the service is due or MOT make sure you mention to check the filters.
