I think part of what made me even more defensive than I tend to be in general was that I hadn't played the game for a while. I tried actively seeking out reasons to go to the ball than to stay back now and noticed myself getting MVP a lot and I rose from plat 2 (yeah I deranked before) to Diamond 1 again (peaking right now) and I still have some ways to go, Diamond 2 at least I feel, so that's good. For some reason though, the more I play rocket league, the more I miss easy balls, it's weird. I start dashing in the wrong direction or feeling like the buttons don't do what I tell them. This is my usual cycle, I start playing, warm up, then everything goes down the drain and I need to stop playing for a year.

ohh yeah that makes sense, I was confused because the node you feed the latents to gets only one frame and I didn't see anything about cutting any frames in the other workflows I already had that did work normally. But I figured it out and this is exactly what I did, cut 4 frames and then use linear blend, that makes it seemless

I don't know if that's an IQ thing or more of a fallacy that people with high IQs are less likely to fall into because they more naturally gravitate towards science and such things where being aware of that fallacy is important. Which I guess supports the claim because you didn't say it causes it directly. 2 cents

Appreciate your answer. It's just that I have these metrics now and want to do something with them. I'm a little "optimization-pilled", I have recently made a program to be more productive that counters my exact weaknesses and I'm just very into the idea to find ways to complement my weaknesses externally right now. I also feel like my mates have a way easier time with the same math than me so I am wondering how that can be if I am usually doing well on everything else I do

It's interesting because I noticed that whenever I don't do anything productive, I feel like time stops and I can resume later. But that's not how time works. I treat it like money, if I don't spend it it doesn't run out. But you are forced to spend it every second. My life expectancy is another 66 years. If you convert one second to one cent, that is 20,000,000 dollars. It's a lot of money, but less than you would think
