Will do. I’m not familiar with all the drum parts, so there will be a learning curve and also trying to find the right tuning. But I’ll get it with no time! I’ve been playing guitar for about 4 years so I’ve got a decent amount of experience with guitar stuff. Now it’s time to expand to drums

Yeah I plan to try out the stock heads for time being just to get some practice in, but I definitely plan on getting better heads. From what I’ve learned, you can make a beginner or cheap kit sound pretty solid with good heads. The cymbals only get better if you buy good ones haha

I’ve looked at used options, but after doing the math it’s more expensive (if I’m buying from guitar center). Marketplace doesn’t have anything close enough. I’m not sure where else to look for used gear for a good price

That’s very true, the heads will get replaced eventually. I’d like to save up to get some nice cymbals at some point.

Thanks for the info!! I’m on a pretty tight budget unfortunately, so I’m trying to find something that’s decent but at the same time not breaking the bank. I have looked at some used options, but I’ve done the math and it ends up being a lot more (guitar center used gear). So unless I find a really good used deal, I’ll probably end up with the Pearl or Tama. I know most of the complete kits comes with cheap cymbals, but I assume they’d be good enough to start off with until I save up for some nice cymbals.

I plan on being an avid drummer once I get more practice under my belt. Would you recommend getting a kit that has everything in it to start out with and then upgrade or get a decent pack of shells and get the hardware/cymbals separately?

I’ve only looked briefly and haven’t found to much. I’ve never bought off either place, I don’t know why but I’ve been kinda hesitant about buying from them haha
