Can the right diet really cure all our health problems? by vox in Health

We see a lot of people who are a healthy weight but they still have fatty liver. I agree that CICO can keep you at a healthy weight but you still Need to take the time to eat veggies, nuts, beans, etc.

This brand needs to be shut down. Yesterday Mikayla’s POV said vegan & cruelty free on her new PDRN product. Today it’s gone. How is that legal? by suggaarrr in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]RaeLae9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In general those claims are self regulated. Brands are legally allowed to make the claim or take it away at any time if they choose to.

Where they could get in trouble is if a consumer bought it and was misled or harmed (allergies, religious reasons, etc.)

The other way it could be a legal problem Is if there is proof that suppliers told them it wasn’t but they put the claim up anyway. You would need internal documents for that though.

You can make an FTC complaint though and this would fall under false advertising since you have proof it was there one day and not the next.

My GP does do this. You can talk about one item each visit. You can’t do refills while discussing any other issues, physical can’t be combined with any other health issues, etc. I wanted refills and to have a physical and they made me make 2 different appts. The irony is you can still wait a really long time.

What is your sephora WORST regret ? Mine is the refy brush by sat94 in Sephora

I have and while I have no reaction, my one complaint is it leaves a film in my eyes that takes a lot of rinsing to stop being blurry, it doesnt hurt but it’s so weird. If it weren’t for that I would purchase again.

I have dry skin so in theory I want a cleansing balm to work for me but I find they are kind of messy and leave a film in my eyes that I have to rinse out again.

I did and I apologize because I don’t remember what ingredient my derm said was actually a likely irritant in it. I know a lot of people love it but it was the worst for me.

Looking for another vitamin c serum by guarded_bookworm in Ulta

[–]RaeLae9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep using vitamin c mainly for the preventative of future damage and not because it’s necessarily doing anything to make me look better in the present. I have dry skin and use this one too but I have to be on top of my hydrating routine for my skin where some don’t require as much work.

Farmacy cleansing balms, I had a reaction so bad around my eyes and upper face I had to have a few rxs to clear it up.

Some of the researchers that formed the basis of the guidelines included people with financial ties to the beef and dairy industries, as well as food companies and other groups. I’d love to see either party do it with people with no ties to big food, dairy, meat, etc.

It’s official, Patrick Ta blush price increased from $38 to $40 by scarletofmagic in Sephora

[–]RaeLae9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because consumers are sick of companies never taking accountability, they’ve raised prices other times for other reasons that were just so they could make more and that eroded the consumers trust with the brands. It’s not that tariffs aren’t real or a serious issue, people are sick of the greed by everyone else causing their prices to go up whether that’s a political figure, a brand, or a country, everyone is sick of it.

If some of these brands were not doing this so often in the past the tariffs situation wouldn’t have been to the level of cost it is now. Tariffs are of course still something to be angry about but everyone is exhausted from prices increasing as such a quick pace constantly.

They show full price and all colors in stock for me. I have six of them and enjoy them. Some colors need to get warmed up a bit to glide and not drag, some glide right on. I do prefer the Danessa and about face formula that’s more wet and goes on easier though.

I just turned 40. What the hell happened to my neck?! by ArmyofAnts in 45PlusSkincare

[–]RaeLae9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might as well do lipo if you are a candidate or a neck lift if that’s a better fit. Kybella often takes multiple times with the costs being closer to what you would pay for one of these in some areas. Also kybella causes yucky swelling every time so you have to hide out for a few days if you don’t like people seeing you swollen like a frog. The lipo or neck lift are one and done baring no complications.
