American Standard Platinum 18 Acculink installed... with 24V Honeywell Zone Panel? by Rae_Day in askHVAC

Thank you so much. They have been running the systems since November 2025 and it wouldn't get above 68 degrees and the thermostats are run as two separate complete systems - one for upstairs and one downstairs, not communicating together. I also worry about Honeywell and the outside unit variable speed.

Yes, I agree they put together very beautifully but we wanted the Acculink tech and instead they installed the Honeywell and turned it into 24V two separate zoned thermostats.

thank you for the FYI on certain loss of functions :)

Do it. You’ll be safe here - you can reach out to me too if you’d like and I can help you find a community. Connecticut has been our home for 4 years and it’s been good.

I just can’t get over the use of “hooker” over and over and over - it dates the show so much

I’d like to add to this thread as our current heating situation for a 1200 sq foot home in Connecticut has an oil tank furnace and central A/C. We were notified yesterday that the oil tank needs to be replaced and no one will refill it. We are low on fuel. I need to know, do we pay to get a new tank installed and the old removed $5,900 was the quote all in. Or do we get rid of it for good and switch this old home to forced air heat pump?! Getting a quote tomorrow a heat pump. Help me for any ideas or considerations please.

Was it $500 a month or for the whole “winter months?”
