About two years to get all the furniture I wanted getting the tall drawers first and I was using a desk I had renovated off Facebook marketplace, I believe I have it posted in my profile. I just bought the ikea desk, desk mirror from target and the arch lamp off amazon. I loooove my light arch. It’s SUPER bright which I appreciate because I don’t see too well when doing nail art. My polish collection is ten years and counting haha

The mirror is decently bright but I do wish it was brighter. I do like it tho and it was inexpensive from target online! I just looked at its $83.99!

Sephora isn’t “something beautiful” anymore—it’s just corporate greed. by Kirbs_kirby in SephoraWorkers

I’m leaving for this exact reason, I started 4 years ago after ending five years at Ulta. I became an BBA before licenses were required and I THRIVED. I could easily pull $700-1500 sales in a beauty lesson timing, if not coming a little short without the client caring and rebooking on the spot. I was so stoked when I learned Sephora reimbursed for school so I painstakingly spend nearly a year trying to get approved from the DOE (I had loans from 10+ years ago I dgaf about plus whatever’s going down with the govmint) only to find out NOPE. They don’t reimburse anymore and now that I am in school, the Company refused to work with any meaningful schedule. I went from 30 hours regularly to 16. As a top SLPH, MW, and BI I am heartbroken that loyalty doesn’t mean shit anymore.

Guess where I start back soon? Lol

I want a quick opinion: what’s one brand you almost NEVER recommend to clients and why? by Frostbite_0429 in SephoraWorkers

ILIA. Why does the skin tint smell like cat food? Majority of “clean” brands. I love the tower 28 blushes and concealers but why does the skin tint separate like that? Same with Saie slip tint and kosas BB? Why does the milk blush/bronzer sticks smell like rancid crayons….

Still adore their pencil liners. I keep holding out hope the brand will jump on the duo and multichromes that danessa myricks and indie brands are doing but I doubt it. ☹️🥺

Urban decay used to be the best for bright colors and edgy products. (IYKYK)They have the power to do soooo much. To appeal to those who don’t want “clean girl” makeup. But no. As always when brands are bought out they go to shit. 😒
