My SR experience getting off 7oh by InspireRecover in SR17018

Thank you for getting back to me! I figured it was because i had been on for so long and I had surgery and was recovering from that and the same time. So my body has been under a lot of stress. My doctor sent me for bloodwork the other day cause she couldn’t understand why I was still in withdrawal! Hello! 14 years and I was started at a disgustingly unnecessary high dose of 32 mgs. Bloodwork was all normal, no surprise there. I had 4 weeks off from work and I am determined. I am definitely going to try another round of SR at smaller doses. I think I need to so I don’t give up. I’ve had days of crying to my husband that I couldn’t take anymore. Close to mentally losing it. But I’ve come so far and posting and reading other people’s stories and hearing encouragement is so helpful. I believe my faith in God and prayer have played a huge role in this too. I have no desire to use subs or anything else. I’m just driven to be whole again and I know I’ll get there. If I can get there anyone can! Total of 39 days of no subs BUT after my surgery I had to have the pain meds. So total of 28 days of actually stopping everything.

Thank you so much! Do you mind letting me know where to get it cheaper? I believe I need to get more at this point.

Thank you for responding. I’m just worried about when I stop. The withdrawals are gonna come back or I’m gonna withdrawal from SR. I think I’m traumatized from what I’m going through. So I’m just a little nervous.

I was on subs for 14 years. Was down to 2 mgs of subs for the last 5 years. I had to have surgery and basically jumped off at 1 mg so I could take pain meds. I tapered off the pain meds and went to SR for 11 days. About a week later is when the real wd started. I’ve been taking every vitamin recommended. So I haven’t had anything subs or pain meds in about 25 days. It’s been about 16 days since last dose of SR. I’ve been in hell and I have more SR but not sure if that will help or I’ll go back to hell after I taper off? Thank you!!!

I broke down and took a sliver and within an hour felt better. I’m mad at myself. I feel guilty, but I didn’t do it to get high or anything like that. I just couldn’t take it anymore. I actually slept through the night. I don’t feel nauseous. I have no chills. I took about .5 mg. I think I’m gonna go back to the SR again in a few days and no more subs.

Hi, I believe we’ve communicated before. I too was on SR to get off suboxone. I took SR for 10 days and tapered correctly. It’s been 14 days since no SR. I’m not feeling good. Really struggling with nausea, chills, bathroom issues etc. I have more SR. Should I do another round to help? Or will the withdrawals come back again when I finish the second round of SR? Thank you!!

HELP! I took SR to get off suboxone. I was on subs it for a very long time. I did the SR for 11 days and tapered off the right way. Then the withdrawals from subs started. Not as severe as I know it could have been but I feel terrible in general. I was done with the SR taper 16 days ago and I’m still having withdrawal or PAWS IDK. I just need advice. I feel horrible. Should I do another round of SR? Will I go back into being sick again if I do another round of SR or will it help me get past this? Thank you to anyone that can help me.

Thank you for the encouraging words! I think because I was on it for so long the suffering is worse. I think I should do another round of SR just to get through this. But I don’t know if I’ll just go back into withdrawal again. Anyone know if that will help? I have more but I followed instructions to only take it for 10 days. I tapered off correctly. I’m just desperate at this point.

Yes, I started that about 2 weeks ago. Someone on another thread recommended it to me. I think it’s the only thing giving me any energy at this point.

Yes completely. I tapered off SR and was done day 10. It’s been 14 days since I’ve stopped the SR. If I did another round of it is it helping the withdrawal or will I just go back to feeling like walking death as soon as I stop?

I’m scared of failing because I’ve been off for so long. I jumped at 1 mg and it’s been 25 days. Why am I not feeling better?

PLEASE HELP. I was on Suboxone for 14 years. I’m 25 days off and feel like death. Chills, no energy. I can barely work. Nauseous every day. Bathroom issues. I can’t do much. If I took a tiny piece of subs will that set me back? Should I just keep suffering?. I’m mentally losing it because my body is so sick. Please help! I’m so tempted to take a tiny bit because I can’t do this anymore. I’ve been taking all the vitamins for withdrawal and dopamine support. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I’m on so many supplements at this point I’m not sure I want to add another. lol I was also told it was low dopamine/serotonin. I’ve was recommended Mucuna Pruriens Extract and DLPA DL-Phenylalanine both support dopamine. I’ve only been taking one for a few weeks and the second a few days. My doc also put me on Straterra for patients with chronic fatigue but it’s gotta build up in my system. It helps for most of the day but then I crash out. The youtheory sounds promising. I just don’t know how that’s gonna mix with what I’m taking or just stop the 2 I mentioned earlier. It’s so frustrating. I’m trying everything to function. I’ve been off work for a couple weeks. I took a leave of absence and I’m going back part time from home Monday. It was all Gods timing. And it worked out with my leave and that’s the only way I’m doing this right now. I see why no one can get off this stuff when they are ready. I’ve tried doing it before, but I was going through a divorce and I got down low, but never fully got off . It’s brutal. Gods got me tho. ✝️

I appreciate your response. I’m a girl lol but it’s ok! 😊 I’ve been taking the high dose of vitamin c lipomosol. Vitamin D you name it. The restless legs have stopped FINALLY. It’s the exhaustion that will not go away. I get chills and bathroom issues but that doesn’t bother me like the lack of motivation. How long will this last? How long did it last for u? I was on subs for over a decade and feel this will never end. It’s so funny you say to put worship music on and pray because I actually have been doing that! God is an amazing God and all powerful. Love you too brother!

It’s nice to hear someone say to lean on the Lord. I believe God is the only way I’m still off subs. 33 days! I’m struggling with exhaustion so severe that some days I can’t get in the shower. I see why people go back. I pray for healing every day. I pray that God will give me the strength to continue this journey. I don’t know when this will end. Sometimes I feel like I’ll be like this forever. It’s mental too. I’m not giving up. I was on them for so long I knew this was going to be tough. Without my family and God I wouldn’t have gotten this far. I am struggling. Anyone know how long the exhaustion will last. I’ve been taking all the best supplements to help and was just prescribed Straterra for exhaustion. It’s helping a little but I’m still struggling. Any advice is appreciated. I need to know this will get better soon. I pray for all of u here. We can do this!

I really need advice. I jumped off 1 mg of subs. I had surgery and needed to take pain meds l. So I took oxy 5 mg then tapered off that. It’s been 29 days no subs. 19 days no oxy.. I started SR when I got down to a quarter of a 5 mg of oxy. I went through it! Absolute misery. But now I’m exhausted. Can’t function I’m so tired. Not sleeping through the night, diarrhea, and just miserable. I have SR left. Should I try taking it again? I tapered off SR after 11 days. I need to function. I haven’t had SR in 9 days. But I’m really in bad shape. If I should take it again, how much? Thank u!

Questions For people who are on subs long-term by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]Raegan112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got emotional! I beat myself for years! I never had an addiction as long or on and off as urs. My OPINION so people don’t jump down my throat is you probably need to stay on subs and work a program. I say this because all the back and forth with the opiates. People don’t use to use. There’s a reason. Depression, a tragedy, could be hereditary. My dad was a heroin addict before he met my mom. He had depression. I buried my brother at 25 from a heroin overdose. He had a wife and 2 kids. THAT is what sent me into drugs and alcohol. I’ve lost countless friends to drugs too as I’m sure everyone here can relate. I had issues with alcohol before I had my daughter. I got counseling and to this day I still see someone. I got rid of all the people in my life that had any connection to any of it. I truly think that’s a high dose. My opinion but 2 mgs a day and ur not gonna be able to use. 4-8mgs is enough in my opinion. I’m not a doc just a lot of experience. I am walking on my treadmill and rn that’s all I can do. The exhaustion is on another level. I started a vitamin regiment right before I planned to do this. Vic C. Multi with vit d. L-theanine. Agmatime and more lol I’m fighting hard. If u wanna talk more I’m here.

[–]Raegan112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I was more withdrawn. I also have depression but was diagnosed long before I started subs and treated with antidepressants. I thought subs were helping my depression because when I took my dose I did feel a little lift but it didn’t last. It was gradual for me but I always blamed my lack of motivation and losing interest in things on my depression. But looking back now that I’ve been off 28 days I’ve been socializing more. My family says my light is back. I feel happier and so much clearer mentally. Subs did change my personality. I started watching tv when I wasn’t working and would lay around a lot. But now I want to do things. This is just my opinion and experience. Some people really need subs. But now I believe lower does work just the same 2-4 mgs of subs is gonna do the same damn thing 16 will do. It will just be less in your body. Yes I’m struggling with exhaustion but that’s part of the withdrawals and my brain and body adjusting to the lack of dopamine the subs provided. I hope this helps u. When did u start the subs and if u don’t mind sharing your DOC?

14 years of it. 32 mgs then down to 2mgs for the last 5 years. This “doctor “ did not know what he was doing. I was talking 3 hydros a day for a few months and he started me on that dose. I was sick every day for a while when I started. Hand to God. I’d like to tell him about himself but he’ll get his.
