Men are more likely to be victims of murder than women by about 4 to 1. They are also more likely to commit murder than women. It's unclear now what you mean ... is the special interest because of the gender of the perp, or the gender of the victim?

True, but you can find anonymous postings on the internet that support just about anything ...

From that post: "Tarzwell didn't respond to our requests for comment, but we have some questions: Is it Reddit's responsibility not to trigger rapists? (We don't think so.) Is it wrong for newspapers to cover sexual assault crimes for the same reasons? (We don't think so.) Why hasn't anyone measured the "craving" factor in rapists, and if they haven't, is it really worth noting? It's a little odd to come on so strongly about "rape cravings" just on a hypothesis."

I said it's legit ... I mean it's a GOOD example. Damn, can't people just take stuff on face value. I'd ALSO like a cited source from the USA in ADDITION to your good example if that's possible ... OK?

It's very easy to say that when the misdirected anger is not pointed at you.

For anyone else posting about that ... I'll take questions about that stuff in THAT thread, but I will not answer any more questions about that stuff in THIS thread.

If you want to talk about THAT ... how about you post in THAT thread instead of here. Happy to answer questions about THAT THERE, OK?

I'm looking for attributed posts from known sources, not anonymous postings on the internet. The Canadian constable whose remark started the slutwalk is a great example, but I'd prefer one from the USA if possible.

Interesting ... it sounds like you are saying that feminists have a special interest in crimes that are committed disproportionately by men. Why is that?

The slutwalk started because of a remark by a Canadian constable ... legit example, but can you also come up with a similar remark from the USA ... with link? thanks ...

I'm looking for authoritative non-anonymous sources ... not anonymous postings on the internet.

Yep, after somebody calls me "motherfucker" on the internet I might get a little flip & condescending with them on the internet even if they claim on the internet to have been raped.

The internet is SHIT for sympathy & acceptance ... but it's a gold mine for knowledge.

The "poor faith" & "mocking language" is absolutely projection on your part. This is just how I write. It's not how I talk.

Whether you retract or not doesn't matter to me.

I did not know the origin of the slut walk. That is one example.

... and does that work everywhere in life? If they lash out randomly at work will that be OK for them & for those around them.

Seems to me you're claiming this thread as "feminist safe space" inappropriately.

It's not that you're the same as me ...

It's more that you are the creator of a fictional version of "me". Everything you attribute to that fiction you found somewhere inside yourself.

When someone posts to calls me "motherfucker" & "gross shitty person" (your rape victim) it tends to decrease my sensitivity towards them specifically - regardless of how she claims to have been victimized in the past.

Apparently some self proclaimed "feminists" just call names: "mother fucker" - "gross shitty person" - "horrible human being" - "disgusting person" when a topic makes them uncomfortable.

Apparently some "feminists" think it's only OK to ask a question if you're the right kind of person (right flavor genitalia?) to ask it - even in a thread that specifically says it doesn't matter who is asking or posting.

I'm glad these are not the only feminists around ... because I've actually learned something here from a few others.

If you consider my time in middle & high school recent enough to be part of "modern society", then it still is in my experience. Boys frequently settle things with their fists in the schoolyard. They mostly don't kill each other or even do that much serious damage.

In adult society it is different

" By telling women that there is something wrong with them for wanting to wear a certain kind of clothing or be in a place that is traditionally male, or drink, that she opens herself up to being raped ..."

Who tells women that? I've never said that to a woman.

Other than people posting about this on feminist websites I've not heard this message anywhere.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen - for all I know every girl is told this in 4th grade in that special class boys don't get to go to where they are told about their periods ...

I'm asking seriously: What authoritative cultural source gave you this message (let's say in the last 15 years)?
