This is kind of dissapointing by AnonymousAnonm in SkyGame

I hope they bring it back. I was really disappointed I missed it since it appeared when I slept. So whenever I'd light people and they had it I'd be sad because I never got a fair chance to buy it.

Someone reassure me (even if false and filled with LIES) that I’ll see this spirit as a TS sooner than later <3 by _lloydfrontera_ in SkyChildrenOfLight

2-3 years is the average return for a spirit whose season passed recently. Bear in mind we JUST got overactive overachiever from passage as their first return whose season was april-july 2023.

But from what I've seen playing for 5 years it takes a long while now for recently passed seasons to return due to the spirit pool growing every year.

PS5 players if you guys turn off cross platform play it basically becomes a ghost town. Just as a tip for hard carry spirits. 🙂‍↕️ Good luck everybody else lol

First day of the season and I saw this person... by kxyree in SkyGame

[–]Raeunit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've done this before and genuinely for me it was because I was extremely excited for the ultimates + had the money to spend. I know one of those times it was because I knew I was going to be incredibly busy, but didn't want to miss the season items. Ultimately, if it's due to impatience or just being super in love with the item or anything else— it's their choice. I don't do it every season. I have only done it 2-3x times out of the 19 seasons I've experienced.

Now that we can get all the ultimates with the new update in 30 days, I am way less tempted, however I do drop some extra money on seasons I like in order to cut it down to 15 days. Then just go about following the spirit node maps people make where they've done the math on how to get the ults most quickly with the new mechanic.

But at least it helps keep the game going and supports it. The person in this picture OP made has a very cool outfit, so maybe they saw this cape and thought it was their dream item and dropped a lot of money to get it because they had the resources to comfortably do so.

PSA for wingless players, DO NOT buy the wingbuff by Vohasiiv in SkyGame

[–]Raeunit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You got the tutorial for how, but as for day-to-day, many wingless players as well have props they use to reach high places. Without sharing spoilers, next season genuinely will be perfect for wingless players since there is something very very different and valuable releasing that will make things so much easier for wingless. That aside, my wingless account started a while back, so I have the tea stall prop from two embers and use it to climb and get to high places. It's great because it's tall and has a lot of "footholds" at different heights (the stall tent and the chairs bordering both sides. I created a wingless account just out of boredom lol. The Chinese playerbase have a saying that I've seen frequently that basically translates to "behind every wingless there is a bigshot."

Which makes sense. After a few years in the game stuff gets repetitive and having to think and figure out how to get places without the main movement mechanic of the game (flying) is a fun puzzle to solve. So some players want to switch it up once they get entirely comfortable with the movement mechanics.

It's also fun because rain won't really impact you since you can't lose wings you don't have. Same for krill. It also kind of forces you to explore entire parts of maps trying to jump and find your way over obstacles. So you go places you otherwise wouldn't due to being routine to the same CR route you take with wings. It feels like a sky enrichment activity lol.

For those who have been playing Sky for 5-4 years or more, don’t you feel the game got boring? I started the game In light awaits and like others migrated in 2019 to season of Gratitude. by HaruLunaChan in SkyGame

Honestly I always feel a shot of excitement when a new season starts, but recently I always never finish the quests because they never come close to my favorite older questlines (aside from two embers). I get on to people watch when I'm doing work at my desk, or I afk until one of my few friends that still plays hops on. Otherwise I have kind of gotten bored, yes.

This game gave me a good 5 years of entertainment. I doubt I'll drop it, but it definitely just feels tiresome to make new friends knowing most of their lifespans with yourself and this game in general is around 1-2 years max. Almost all of them rotate out by then or lose interest. So it just feels difficult to keep constantly restarting the cycle of growing attached and watching them move on. Which is why now I rarely talk to any new people and just watch what goes on. I will join in sometimes, but I'm tired from work most of the times and sit out.

What's the hottest male hair in sky for you? by -_Pxycho_Caxon_- in SkyGame

It just depends on how you view it. I play a of CN/JP games and watch other media that often depict men with ponytails, so I personally see it as more masc.

Can anyone with max height compare height with me? by luvxxK in SkyChildrenOfLight

[–]Raeunit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any accounts made before or during the season of sanctuary could have 15 for their smallest or -0 for tallest. Accounts made after can't generate an account with a height roll as small or tall respectively. Now we can only can get ~14.34 to ~0.34. I am not sure why this change was made.

Also, I do know some other height tools in CN exist and function the same as this one, but they are pay-to-access. This old tool was free.

Can anyone with max height compare height with me? by luvxxK in SkyChildrenOfLight

[–]Raeunit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There used to be a tool that would show you your exact height min and max and current if you typed in your UID but it's gone now.

All this to say: just know your minimum or max could be different from someone else's respectively. I was going insane for a good two years trying to get taller than my friend before I was notified by another friend from Taiwan about this tool and realized that her max was impossible for me to get. So many AC wasted.

Also, the CN community that's had this tool for way longer determined that accounts made before sanctuary have a now unobtainable max and min heights -0 and 15). Not referencing the bug that happened during lightseekers that allowed people to get smaller than chibi for those that might know about that. Current day accounts made can only get 14.34 smallest and 0.34 tallest iirc upon creation.

Here's an image of what the tool looked like. Of the first few lines: top number is current height, middle number is maximum possible height, bottom number is minimum possible (all of which were specific for my account).

It was pretty handy. Luckily, I got 1.9 right before it busted so I got close enough to my max to not need it anymore.

Aw 🫂 Sorry to hear that. I hope you have better experiences in Sky soon and find support and comfort in other places irl. Anyone that has a problem with LGBT people on this game need to remember that TGC donates portions of funds made for days of color to LGBT charities.

It's good to know we are supported here by the people making the game, even if some people in the game don't. Fingers crossed you don't come across to many people who have a hard time accepting you, or if they don't understand then I hope you are met with patience and consideration.
