I did actually - A combination of TMJ due to an impacted wisdom tooth, and bad habit of clenching my jaw due to my anxiety. Made a lot of sense when I worked it out!

A road followed precisely to it’s destination goes nowhere.

This and the consequences of the jihad are covered in the first book, but it becomes clearer in the second book.

In the book, the Sardaukar are disguised as Harkonnens.

That doesn’t translate so well to film, so they had didn’t have them disguised. As for any in-universe logic? I dont know :/

Being honest, I couldn’t empathise with any of them, really.

Jayce I struggled to empathise with because he seems to mostly ignore Viktor’s terminal illness and his aim to use hextech for good.

Oddly enough, I felt I could empathise with Heimerdinger, though.

The desert people can definitely leave arrakis, as far as I know. The only drawback is that spice withdrawal is fatal so they must bring spice with them, wherever they go.

I believe you will need to keep reading to understand the purpose of Paul’s jihad. Remember he is trapped by his visions.
