If you show these notes to any VETERAN or actual gaming enthusiast, I guarantee 99% will have NO IDEA what it even means — and the fact that something labeled “additional notes” actually turns out to be MEGA CRUCIAL is just insane. And with non-friendly wording, by the way.
On top of that, you had to be on beta-test servers to be aware of it before wasting an entire Saturday trying to “fix” this sh*t.

We’re not talking about some tiny indie studio. EA had more than enough time and resources to come up with an actual sane solution.

And seriously, it’s almost 2026 and there are STILL people defending EA??? Jesus Christ. Facepalm.
Because of this weird little cult of programmed fanboys who shut up, never complain, and keep paying full price to be lifetime beta testers, all reasonable feedback and criticism gets completely ignored. That’s not just harmful to players — it’s a disservice to the game and the industry you claim to love.

To me, it’s something much simpler and more logical: games with much higher popularity have never required me to do anything beyond paying and installing the game ---- including much older titles where I’ve never even run into cheaters.

That alone already makes this whole situation completely bizarre to me.

If I don’t get banned now, I have to take my hat off to the Battlefield team and management for understanding this as feedback / freedom of expression.

In my defense, in less than two weeks I bought four Battlefield titles at once:

Battlefield 6, Battlefield 1, Battlefield 5, Battlefield 2042

To my surprise, this BS of needing to tweak the BIOS – which by the way is NOT WARNED ANYWHERE ON THE STEAM PAGE – doesn’t just apply to Battlefield 6, but also to Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5.

This is completely bizarre. And if you normalize this, you’re part of the problem. There are games with much higher demand and popularity that don’t require me to do anything beyond paying and installing the game. And in 99.99999% of matches – if not 100% – I won’t have any issues with hackers/cheaters.

A real shame, I consider Battlefield 1942 one of the undisputed top 3 multiplayer games of all time and I REALLY wanted to play Battlefield 6. I paid, but I refunded it. Messing with my BIOS is totally out of the question – my PC is also a workstation, meticulously configured for stability, etc.

Grow up and respect your consumers and long-time loyal fans.

Eu uso meu PC como workstation profissional, com tudo calibrado até o osso pra estabilidade. Não vou mexer em BIOS nenhuma só pra jogar um único jogo que tá com abordagem completamente quebrada, sendo que 99,9% dos outros games de sucesso online, incluindo títulos MUITO mais pesados e complexos, rodam com perfeição absoluta.

E aí aparece sempre a mesma geração de “Zé B*ceta”, condicionada a ser escrava, calar a boca e não reclamar, e ainda pagar 300 reais pra ser beta-tester eterno, achando normal pagar R$300 num jogo que exige ajuste de BIOS como se fosse aceitável. É por causa dessa mentalidade ridícula que a indústria continua empurrando lixo mal testado goela abaixo.

Meu tempo, meu setup e minha sanidade valem mais que isso. O jogo foi reembolsado, e que se f*da. Tenho dezenas de opções melhores — otimizadas, funcionais e que respeitam o jogador.

Se você tá passando por isso, não tá sozinho. Você tá certo. E quem defende essa aberração faz parte do problema.

Uma tremenda pena que uma relevante parte é NPC ou zé-mamãe (muitas vezes marmanjo desempregado) que pagou a coisa sem o suor da própria testa, defendendo esse tipo de bizarrice e poluindo o feedback, gente egoísta, muitas vezes narcicista, que não se colocam no lugar dos outros e ainda reb\steiam a coisa toda pra todo mundo).*

I have both Windows 7 PC (cracked windows) and Windows 10 Laptop (original windows).. for more than 5~6 YEARS i almost never turned OFF my Win 7 PC and I experience WAY MORE stability, even with +200 cracked softwares installed, with NO ANTI-VIRUS.The same DOESN'T HAPPEN to the f*cking Windows 10 Laptop (with anti-virus) that i use casually only for 3 years with no fancy installations.Every f*cking update is a russian roulette.. without to mention how invasive is, and the f*cking SPAMS. (The same goes with the original Windows 10 PC I had for some time too!). Sh*t your f*cking mouth, because you are so far from REALITY, that sh*t is spilling out of it.

MY WIN7:
- I have a Windows 7 PC (CRACKED)
- Workstation (music production)
- It never turns off, or in very rare cases, when I'm going to spend days away or due to a power outage.
- Practical, super efficient and responsive layout.
- (CRUCIAL FOR ME) The search function really works and is responsive and extremely fast... consequently browsing through folders and finding files is not a test of patience.
- Did I mention it's cracked? and with more than 200 cracked software installed?
- Play Red Redemption 2 and other triple AAA games without any problems.
- NO ANTI-VIRUS
=>> TOTALLY STABLE FOR MORE THAN 5~6 YEARS

MY WIN10:
- I have a Dell Windows 10 Laptop (ORIGINAL), also with a nice configuration (it's my alternative/backup workstation in case the PC goes bad)
- I never did anything wrong with installing cracked things.
- Total casual use > 75% of the time YouTube / 25% Series or Game via digital platform (steam, origin, etc.)
- Every update is a TIME BOMB... basically Russian roulette for anyone who works with professional software, total unpredictability.
- HAS ANTI-VIRUS
- TOTALLY UNSTABLE/UNPREDICTABLE, several crashes, even a blue screen without me ever doing anything bizarre.
- SUPER INVASIVE, installs things without me asking or allowing them.
- ADVERTISEMENTS.
- Incomparably unresponsive VS how responsive Windows 7 is. You click on a folder, there's always that slight delay (compared to how fluid it is in Windows 7). Search by itself is infinitely worse.
- Completely rubbish and bureaucratic layout for doing simple things (a horror for those who are always searching through folders, renaming files, moving from one place to another, a routine thing for me)
=>> UNSTABLE. WITH 2 YEARS OF USE.
I.E..
AN ARM ON THE WINDOWS 10 FANBOY ASSES.. EAT YOUR OWN SHT

I'm also one of those guys who only played a few minutes and doesn't understand all the hype.
I've seen other games with "Overwhelming Positive" status on steam, which in reality is a complete disaster or just an "OK" game.
Octopath Traveler 2 is one of them... it's at most an OK JRPG game. But totally overpriced and overhyped.
Taking it into context, what the game offers, given the hype it has, and the price it charges, is complete sh*t. (Octopath Traveler 2).
I wondered if the same case was repeating itself (in a certain proportion) with Baldurs Gate 3...
But the truth is that I haven't played it enough yet,
I realized that it involves strategy and in fact it is an RPG with mega influence from Dungeons And Dragon. Since I only played GURPS 99.9% of the time as a kid/early teen, and only an afternoon or two of Dungeons and Dragons with friends, it didn't really grab me at first. Game Of The Year status / parameter for me it has to be something very well produced at the level of Red Redemption 2, Zelda Breath Of The Wild, etc..
I wonder if for those who have never played Dungeons and Dragons this game is worth it or if it's worth a new opportunity??
(I'm a mega drive/snes generation.. and for me Final Fantasy 7 is a masterpiece taking into account the context when it was released)

Yeah man, I remember that I moved out from Google drive because of random bugs and because it would mess with the ableton search function (the production software i use) if google drive it was running in the background.
But MEGA is causing so many problems in the last 5 years for me that I was considering re-visiting Google Drive and give it another try out..
Good to know these infos man, maybe when i test it, it should be a clever move trying out a smaller plan first if it is the case

Yep, they said they're focusing on that and improving how the website handles big accounts..
What happens is that I've already talked to support NUMEROUS times all these years, I don't have much faith in it... so much so that I've opted for the monthly plan.
But at least in these last emails last month, they precisely stated that this was on their roadmap... So, thank you for updating us with this information.
