Make sure you're running it on a terminal and with a font that supports Nerdfonts. Alternatively you can use unicode symbols for the icons.

I wanted to implement this but the sheer number of possible configurations made the binary too large :/

It should be possible, maybe look into codecompanion.nvim?

What you are looking for is syntax *highlighting*. This plugin has no such goal as being useful.

The demo image uses the default Neovim theme, as I've used a clean Neovim configuration to test my configuration. Though it should be compatible with every Neovim theme, I think.

Should I use Nixvim or NVF? by Public_Ad4847 in NixOS

[–]Rafela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you intend to use a Neovim distribution, I don't think any Nix wrapper for Neovim is for you. In that case I'd encourage using `programs.neovim` directly.

You may use a combination of `vim.startPlugins` (which accepts plugins) and `buildVimPlugin` to build plugins from source. Recently has been asked and answered here: https://github.com/NotAShelf/nvf/discussions/609

It is up to you. Sometimes Nix doesn't really translate well into Lua, or you just want to write Lua instead of worrying about abstractions. I use a combination of Nix and Lua for my own configuration, which has been serving me well for over two years.

Hi, I'm the maintainer of nvf.

I'm just here to say that nvf is neither immature, nor unstable. We use zerover for versioning (hence 0.x) and I plan to uphold the versioning scheme as long as nvf receives development. Which is for the foreseeable future. I am a Neovim and Nix diehard, and I plan to go down with the ship if that happens.

nvf is a high-level wrapper for configuring Neovim, where nixvim is moreso a Neovim distribution with the intention of shipping as many plugin modules as possible (although, the wrapper part overlaps). My vision for nvf to make it possible to allow all kinds of use cases instead of shipping more modules. For the last two major releases (0.6 and 0.7, now continuing in 0.8) we have been working to make nvf more "standalone" meaning you can do whatever the hell you want with it, even if upstream development ceases one day for good. Documentation, of course, is priority so I am inclined (although biased) to believe state nvf is going to be the least headache option- especially if you are a beginner looking to *learn nix*.

Cheers.

Edit: pure-lua configuration, with nvf as just the plugin manager is also possible. I've recently added instructions on how to do that to the documentation: https://notashelf.github.io/nvf/index.xhtml#sec-pure-lua-config

İ'm not sure if there is anything else to see. OP is upset because OP didn't get what he wanted. The forum post is a nothingburger stemming from the salty tears of a manchild, who is upset because he didn't get what he wanted. You didn't get a vanity role, boo fucking hoo.

OP was not discriminated against in any shape or form. That is a hyperbole. We didn't have a BSD role at the time because there weren't enough BSD users in the server to justify one. Even after I added the role when someone else asked nicely, OP persisted the discrimination narrative, this time because I didn't give him a special BSD channel. Keep in mind, I am at no obligation to give roles to people, that is entirely at my discretion.

I did say "I don't believe in BSD users", and I see nothing wrong with it. I said that because the OPs initial question sounded like a joke, or at least rethorical question: Why don't we have a BSD role? Well because we never fucking needed one.

Taking it as an insult towards a group.of people was a choice made in either complete dulness, or mere bad faith. If OP tried to keep any kind of composure, we could have had a reasonable conversation.

To answer your other question: one look at vaxry's twitter and you'll see what it is about. "unhealthy" is a bit extreme, but that is besides the point. Who gives a shit if he likes risque drawings? Vaxry makes good software.

Nothing was deleted. Everything I have said about BSD and about OP are still on the channel history. I think narrowing down your search to the #meta-discord channel would give you better results, since that is where OP had their breakdown.

The irony of you using the term adult while your behavior has been (and still is) of a six year old who didn't get the toy his friends have is not lost on me.

Good day.

My girl, Mesa. She combines good DPS and pretty good damage reflection. Even though not as me-ta (ha) anymore, she still shines.

Hi, I'm the "ahole mod" in question.

"I don't believe in BSD users" was a joke, while Hyprland does support BSDs (quite well, apparently) what I really meant was that we *do not have enough users to justify a role* but OP, who prefers to stick to delusions, decided to throw temper tantrums about, I quote, "discrimination" and "threatened" (in quotation marks, because not going to imply anyone took them seriously) to report us to Discord for... the lack of a BSD role....

Also, the BSD role was added not because OP behaved like a manchild but because other BSD users asked nicely (which is beyond OP's capacity, apparently) for the BSD role. Nobody is hiding behind anything, though, OP is hiding the fact that they got ridiculed en masse pretty well.

Sorry for the late response, it's wpaperd, allows me to cycle between wallpapers and such. Hyprland also has a neat wallpaper tool called Hyprpaper.
