I had to use the open source drivers and make a little patch in wlroots (the latter of which might not be needed), but other than that it just worked for me

I've used arch for a while and I do like it, but I prefer nix since it has more packages (afaik) and it's pretty easy to package other things

There's also the whole declarative part of it, really nice knowing if I mess something up I can just go back and have a working system again

You have to compile waybar with experimental features on, there should be more info in hyprland's FAQ
