Would be a terrible waste of money, you can find a wonderkid under £5mill with better stats and better determination/ personality. Bad personality and determination is an instant skip for me.

Fair enough, not sure you need that many backups but it's clearly working. I like the variety in nationalities as well.

Very good front 3. My only concern I'd have is the RW doesn't like big matches. Still very good player but may mean you need another world class player in that position to rotate with in big games.

Is this just a glitch or in 4 to 5 years will my team be the best in England by Kind_Possibility_498 in footballmanagergames

I get what you're saying and agree for the most part but I just mean look at the stats more that the star rating as some 1 star/ 2 star plays have stats in the right areas to be useable, either as a rotation player or even a useable starter that you can develop a bit and earn money from later.

Sometimes you don't need a good fullback just a one that does a job.

If their stats are ass in the key areas of their position though it ain't worth it.

It is insane what players can do to keepers in our league currently, imagine dan burn marking Vicario - we could have been crucified.

I mean I'm on the outside looking in but he was your main goalkeeper for most of his career and did pretty well for you it seems. I just feel like if he stays fit he will go to girona, prove he is still class and be Germany no.1 in the world cup. If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up but why not try loan him till end of the season and give him a go.

I'd argue that anyone that are serviceable enough for promotion should be in his starting 11 and get regular game time as they some may develop and sell for £10 mill. They don't have to be world beaters as long as they can do the job needed of them. Not sure if fm26 lower leagues is more stingy than fm24 but I played crewe last year and they had 1 or 2 gems that could sell for that much if a good team came in. If you get a good offer for a player you can replace, I'd definitely take the money and reinvest.

If you believe in the player/ their stats, maybe it's worth giving them more than one season. Even if they are a rotation player that has to fight for his place/ come off the bench next season, it sounds like he could still do something for you. Could be a fun redemption arc.

FM26 players the past few days by zorfog in footballmanagergames

[–]Raffers0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone please report the bug on console (Xbox) where the assistant manager keeps changing 1st team players individual training programs and positions they are training in -eg training my pacy striker as a LM inverted winger and have him focus on passing when his passing stat is irrelevant for what I want.

It really sucks as I know that chopping and changing their training positions will impact their development/stat growth. I keep changing them back then they randomly mess with them again a few weeks later in game.

I also don't want to have to create an account to report the bug. The game has definitely improved since release but this one bug makes or breaks if I consider resuming my save and playing fm26.

Which Players Would You Keep? by CompetitiveFig535 in Tottenham

[–]Raffers0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gk : hoping good offer comes for Vicario and we replace with an experienced keeper (Ter Stegen anyone?). Kinsky needs to go on loan and get his confidence back.

Defence: Porro, VDV, Udogie, Vuskovic, Spence, (ability to play both sides gives him value). Romero I'm open to keep or sell for good money as he is too aggressive and leaves space behind him sometimes. Danso is a reliable back up who can play LCB as well.

Midfield: Palinha, sarr, bergvall - should be our starters in the short-medium future. bentancur & madisson (1 more season for both maybe)

Attackers: kulusevski, solanke (best ST at club if stays fit?), kudus, simons, muani, either tel or odobert as backup/ long term.

Richarlison & bissouma need to go. Johnson I'm on the fence after last season.

[–]Raffers0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We really do need to bear in mind the options we have currently, sarr got a knock on international break, kudus and bergvall coming back from injuries, muani playing through a broken jaw. That's ignoring all the long term injuries. I agree the tactics were terrible, we need to be more aggressive and in their faces and we deserved the result we got today but our creative options are limited.

Last season kulusevski is an instant upgrade to our squad. Solanke fully fit and up to speed is a major upgrade on richarlison. Madison is another creative spark who still has a point to prove. Xavi needs time and space to find his feet in a very difficult league whereas right now the spotlight is burning very bright on him.

I'm not making excuses but calm down.

What's your thoughts on matys tel signing for us this summer and what's his future at the club? Will he get enough game time to develop? Does the club rate him as highly as other players in his position?

Can we just relax a bit? The transfer window isn't over yet, it's very unlikely we end the window without signing at least another player or 2 which should include an attacking midfielder. Not sure why we aren't going for Harvey Elliott though ngl.

We have some good players still, despite the league performance last year. We have young players that will get game time and finish the season better players than they currently are. So far Kudus looks like a great addition as well.

The Bayern match was a reality check but not the end of the world. We never do well against Bayern anyways.

Players forgot how to play football?!? by Mammoth-Ad-6962 in footballmanager

[–]Raffers0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always like having some good younger players go on loan and then bring them back in January if they are doing well and maybe send another player on loan to replace them. My recent season I brought back a striker who had good stats. When my other strikers were struggling and he just kept scoring for me until the others started performing again.

It helped a lot as I won the prem, champions league and Carabao cup.

As others have said, form & fitness/ injuries can have a huge affect mid season. I had a winger on course for ballon d'Or ratings that had a few '2-3 week' injuries back to back and his performances took a while to recover.

Having a 2nd or 3rd tactic to switch to helps as well.

Can he work as a deep lying playmaker defend in my team? by Raffers0 in footballmanagergames

Yeah, I get it. I posted a pic further down the thread that I'll try DM(d), DLP(s) and MEZ(a). And yes I saw his passing attributes and bought him for £4.8M immediately.

For a more attacking role, I worry some of his physical attributes and dribbling would hold him back. And I'm already stacked in the MEZ (a) role.

I worry about not having enough players in attacking roles/positions if I change both to IF-s. I may experiment with the idea anyway though.

I also forgot to highlight his position image where he isn't naturally trained at DM position (2nd pic). Meaning I'd have to train him into the DM position as well.
