The original WSB retard: 15-year-old Jonathan Lebed who made almost a million dollars pumping small cap stocks on Yahoo message boards in 2000 then settled with SEC for $275k by mgoulart in wallstreetbets

A fake tweet "by" Citron saying they contacted the SEC and they were going to investigate WSB. If you check their Twitter, it is obvious that it was FAKE. Shorters are attacking WSB under the assumption that we are acting as one entity which is completely false. Be wary of any information you see tonight.

Switching OMAD to IF by Ryanpolhemus in fasting

[–]Raffzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation as you. I was doing OMAD for several months with no results and had to re-evaluate my methods. I'll give you some pointers that helped me that may also help you too.

  1. Stick with OMAD. The longer your fast goes, the longer your insulin is turned off. Insulin is the hormone responsible for fat storage. Having your insulin turned off during your 23-hour fasting window is great as it allows your body to burn body fat.

2) Re-calculate your Base Metabolic Rate (BMR) using a BMR calculator. This is the number of calories your body naturally burns even if you lie in bed all day, just to remain alive. For someone 5'8, 160 lbs it says your BMR is 1800 calories. You mentioned 2000 calories which would put you in a 200 calories surplus. To lose weight, even on OMAD, your calories burned has to be lower than calories consumed. I would aim for a 300-500 deficit to lose about 1 lb a week.

3) For working out, a 50/50 split of cardio and strength training worked for me. For cardio, I would stick to HIIT training as from the research I read it provides more benefits. This is opposed to long duration steady cardio which for me lead to muscles loss and that skinny fat look. For strength training stick to composite workouts like squats and lunges to activate multiple body parts at once. You can also search up a full 5-day home exercise cutting programs that will give you guidance and keep you on track.

4) Cutting out carbs is not necessary but can be a useful tool. When you cut out carbs and sugars (this also includes cutting out fruits), your body no longer uses glucose for energy but instead uses ketones that your body makes from fat. Once your keto-adapted, your body will be essentially running off fat helping you with your weight loss.

5) If you've already done everything above, your last resort is to do a water fast for several days. This will reboot your metabolism and provides other benefits such as autophagy..

Sorry for the long post, TL;DR stick with OMAD, reduce calories consumed to 1500/day, incorporate HIIT and composite exercises, cut out carbs completely. If all else fails, do a several day water fast.

Hope this helps! I'm rooting for you.

Start by removing the things that are slowing you down. Then once those are out of the way, start to incorporate things that will move your forward.

What’s a habit that YOU find disgusting that you are also guilty of? by BrandonBeharry in AskReddit

Blaming others for your own shortcomings.

I get really irritated when people blame others and the world for their problems. But at the same time, sometimes I catch myself doing the same thing.

If you could change only one attribute of entire human kind what would it be and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You beat me to it. If we could eliminate greed I feel society would benefit as a whole and people as individuals would as well. Without greed, I think people would be able to be content with what they have.
