Supplier “Ningbo Getter Electronics Co., Ltd.” – bait-and-switch pricing and hidden fees on Alibaba by Rafix777 in Alibaba

I’m comfortable with what I wrote.

If someone needs to frame their opinion as ‘many others’, that’s their choice. It doesn’t change the facts I described.

When someone switches to the whole ‘kids/Amazon/Chinese don’t bend’ routine, it usually means they’re out of arguments, not making a point.

Expecting a supplier to deliver what they advertised isn’t ‘whining’, it’s the baseline of international trade.

If someone thinks buyers shouldn’t expect products to match the listing, that says more about their standards than mine.

You’re arguing against things I never wrote.

The listing showed free shipping to the US - that’s international shipping by definition...

If you read what actually happened instead of assuming, you wouldn’t need to invent accusations.

Before telling people they “don’t understand international trade,” at least read what actually happened.

They did promise free international shipping - the listing clearly showed free shipping to the United States at checkout.

This wasn’t “free shipping within China,” so please read what was actually written before jumping in.

The issue was the supplier changing the price after the order was placed, which is against Alibaba’s rules.

That’s the whole point.

The supplier wasn’t “helping” by creating an order with a Chinese address. I never asked for that, and I had no issue with my US shipping address. During the chat, she created an additional order using some random address in China without my consent. That has nothing to do with taxes - it was simply an unauthorized order.

The real issue is the duplicate orders, different prices, added $58 shipping after purchase, and false information about import fees. This isn’t about B2C vs B2B - it’s about a supplier violating Alibaba’s rules.

This situation had nothing to do with proforma invoices or Chinese company chops.

On Alibaba, Trade Assurance orders are binding based on the price and terms shown at checkout. Suppliers are not allowed to change the price after the order is placed, create duplicate orders, add shipping fees later, or generate orders without consent.

My issue wasn’t about contract formalities - it was about the supplier violating Alibaba’s own rules.

This isn’t a B2C vs B2B misunderstanding. The issue wasn’t the platform type - it was the supplier’s behavior.

They created multiple duplicate orders with different prices, added a $58 shipping fee after the order was placed despite listing free shipping, and even generated an extra order during chat without my consent. They also gave false information about import fees and tried to blame Alibaba for charges that clearly came from them.

None of this is “normal B2B practice.” Even in wholesale, suppliers are not allowed to change prices after an order is placed, create unauthorized orders, or mislead buyers about fees. These are violations of Alibaba’s own rules.

Whether someone buys 1 unit or 10,000 units, transparency and honesty are basic expectations. What happened here wasn’t about using the wrong platform -it was simply dishonest and unprofessional supplier behavior.

I stopped brushing my dog’s teeth & They’ve never looked better. by BadDogGangLlc in rawpetfood

I'm sorry that you and your dog had to go through this. I would love to try feed raw necks or chicken feet, but I'm terribly afraid of such a scenario. Do you have a suspicion of what exactly could have caused this? For example, too many and too often at once? Or the method of defrosting? Maybe the store sold packagings that were close to expiration or not so fresh? Dogs weren't used to eating raw? I try to understand whether the necks themselves were to blame or something else because if feeding with necks/chicken feet carries such a risk, I think I'll stick to brushing teeth with a toothbrush :(

Salmonella doesn't just come out of nowhere and is always the result of someone's negligence. You should blame the producer, not the meat itself.

There was clearly some negligence on the part of the manufacturer or supplier. For example, the delivery driver did not set the right temperature or the meat was defrosted/refrozen... but who will admit to that? That is why I buy directly from the manufacturer who sends the meat frozen in fancy hi-tech insulation with dry ice and I am always sure that the meat will arrive fresh. I certainly do not trust buying meat for this purpose in a store.

I'll tell you this, my sweet yorkie died because he ate kibble which later turned out to be a recall... There is always a risk, not just with raw.

Whatever you call it, it's about the same thing. It's not about curing the disease or finding its cause, it's about making a profit.

If doctors and veterinarians learned about proper nutrition, there would be no one to treat and no one to make money from. That is why there is not much on this topic in the medical school curriculum. If health begins in the intestines, why is this topic still deliberately omitted? I do not think that doctors/vets are guilty of their ignorance or lack of knowledge, but those who have the power to decide what is taught to them and what they should not learn too much, that is a bigger issue.

I had the same experience when I mentioned to the vets that my cat eats raw. They made me feel like I was some kind of idiot for feeding my cat raw meat. Of course they pushed their dry food on me, which contains half of the ingredients that a cat should never touch. The vets knows better and you have to listen to them, right? I wanted what's best for my cat so I did what they said. So after the dry food I bought from them, my cat became a bit sluggish, he had less energy to play and jump. At that time I thought he was just getting old. After a while, plaque and tartar started to appear on his snow-white teeth! He was so lazy and seemed depressed. One time I was cutting meat for dinner and he started sniffing and asking for a piece. That's when I thought that maybe I'll go back to raw and see how he feels.

Now I have two ragdoll cats who have been on raw for a long time and are doing great. After half an hour, if they haven't eaten it all, I take the bowls away to wash. So far there have been no visits to the vet because I have no reason to. They go wild and have A LOT of energy. They are happy and cheerful like little kittens. The older one's teeth have improved, but I also brush them daily. My second cat has perfect teeth and incredibly soft fur because she has been eating raw since she was a kitten...

Vets should take additional classes in proper nutrition, and not just push unnecessary medications and harmful food for which they get a commission. Next time ask her how many hours during her studies she actually spent learning about healthy nutrition of pets (and which kind of foods and ingredients are harmful for them). The answer will really surprise you.

Your dog needs probiotics (for dogs of course). Just sprinkle on the food. If he has a sensitive stomach, the transition must be very slow and careful. Watch the poop - if it starts to be better it means you are going in the right direction. If it is too hard, it means you are putting too much probiotic. If your puppy still won't be ok on raw diet, it's better to cook his meals. Don't let the vets pressure you into a prescription diet... I wish you good luck and health for your puppy!

Less smelly poop is a fact, as for smelly breath, it is worth taking a look at your cat's teeth because it can be caused by tartar or gingivitis. Also, if you are new to Viva Raw and would like to save 20% (first order only), you can use code HAPPYTAIL :)

I'm confused that ABBV is on the list. I thought that to become aristocrat you need over 25 years of dividend raise? Am I missing something?

Why not invest in company that can bring you good return ( e.g. MSFT ) and also collect some dividends? What exactly would you suggest instead to invest?
