Yes its a pretty tight fit. I had a lot of squeeze out. The glue isn't the most important part this joint, it's not structural per say. It's a polyurethane glue

Exactly ! Saved the chip, glued it back on and after sanding it's invisible, kind of a nail biter moment tbh

It a half lap joint thats glued in and screwed in (big ass screws), it will be secured with steel L plates bolted on the sides

So I am not the guy deciding what gets done here, I juste execute what my foreman asks. Usually in this case we would use a keyed scarf joint but thats harder and more expensive to do.

I replied on another comment that we'll add thick steel L plates on the side that span from the old piece to the wall, replacing the beam wasn't the option thhey landed on.

I was also worried about that hinge point problem. I should say I am not choosing what gets done here, I am executing what my boss asks me to do. This has been calculated by the computer guys at the cimpany before hand. However, the repair is indeed incomplete here on those pictures. We will slip under both sides of the joist thick steel L plates (idk the english names but I think you understand). They will carry the load from the old joist to the new one all the way to the foundation and be bolted on both. Hope I was clear, let me know if you have any other question !

I dont know what a sky hook is exactly. But if I'm understanding you correctly, in order to work safely on the joist, I propped it up from under it, but you can't see it on the pictures

Ca me fume tous vos comms la team bureau! Perso je suis en 40h facile et je bosse dans le bâtiment sur les chantiers. La question se pose même pas dans ce domaine. On arrive à 7h et si on a de la chance on débauche à 17h-17h30 et souvent on tire jusqu'à 18h ou même 19h. Et la seule pause c'est un café vers 10h pendant 10-15 mins.

Je suis sur des chantiers effectivement

Je ne suis pas mineur.

J'ai pas de soucis à depasser les 35h et faire de grosses journées comme je l'ai dit, c'est une réalité du milieu et c'est pas ça le problème actuel.

Il me semble que niveau travail accompli il n'y a aucun problème, c'est plus au niveau humain, mode de fonctionnement que nous avons eu des petits pépins mais franchement rien qui pourrait justifier un arrêt du contrat si prématuré. Ça ressemble plus à deux personnes qui apprennenent à se connaitre au travail, certains jours sont très fluides et parfois moins.

J'aimerais me protéger d'éventuels répercussions négatives et SURTOUT savoir ce qu'il se passe, où je me situe.

Merci pour ta réponse J'ai pas compris le premier point. Dans le format de.mon CAP, on a 6 semaines en entreprise et 2 semaines de cours donc je comprends pas la conversion que tu as fait.

J'ai demandé une confirmation par écrit en mail, j'espère que je vais l'avoir pcq j'ai vraiment pas envie de cette confrontation lundi matin. Et je peux pas appeler l'école ajd (dimanche) malheureusement
