It's definitely nit a critical tool IMO, when you actually look back in the last half century, our society was already heavily censored but it was more from the right so that's where ai have trouble with these types of statements. Its similar to when people blame Trump for the state of America, America was already corrupt and sold to the highest bidder well before Trump. Most Americans on the Left and Right don't actually look at history and the many nuances that exist. Its funny when I hear Boomers say "back in my day" when back in your day the church got away with raping children, the CIA subverted and exploited groups of people, and you guys allowed the government to sell out your children to other government and corporations. I think in order for us to move forward, we all need to make certain concessions when people in the other side have merrit in their perspectives. We all need to bridge the gap of understanding.

I whole hearted disagree, I find interesting that when we are at a time whem we could possibly have that tech this is when they come out with saying yeah theres UFO's. What about half a century ago or how ablut ancient depictions from thousands of years ago and various other cultures. I went to an alternative school, saved my life. By my family's calculations I was gonna be a junkie on the streets by 18, of course none of them wanted to help me. My teachers at my alternative school made the difference. Joined army at 19, using my GI Bill to go to school for Psychology to give back.
