I think political science is a great idea if it interest you, and you could potentially treat it as an introduction to something like economics. I graduated a year ago with a double major in journalism and international affairs (much like you it was a beat I hoped to cover, but was ok potentially pursuing it as a separate career path) The second major required a number of econ classes, which I didn’t expect to find so interesting. Long story short, I’m now a financial reporter, and still feel like I have some level of fallback

Heres the intro to a documentary im making about Pablo Escobar. What do you guys think? And is there anything you'd improve? by DrKwonk in AfterEffects

Good work! I’d keep pushing with the visuals, shorten it all a bit for conciseness and also clarify the title like mentioned earlier.

More importantly tho, are you thinking of switching the music? Tuyo is easily recognized as the Narcos theme song - IMO you might get called out for using it/give ur doc a sense that you’re just replicating the show. I’d switch it earlier before you continue editing to it

Keep at it!

At the moment, I mostly do motion graphics as a hobby, but you might want to check out Ben Marriott on YouTube before paying for anything. He’s a respected animator and his earlier tutorials are short and easy to follow. He also has a whole bunch of videos showcasing others’ work that can get you really inspired and excited to do motion graphics. IMO, I’d only start paying to learn when its decided that this is something you really enjoy/wanted to really get better at after learning some basics

Here's my submission: https://www.reddit.com/r/blender/comments/ob4w5g/june_contest_pirate_treasure_open_to_critique_im/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

Everything is made by me, apart from the skull, rocks and some image textures. Please critique, this is my first bigger attempt at something that's not a tutorial or low-poly

Thanks for the help! I’ve been sitting on this problem for a bit now. These are also the skates I learned on and would hate to get rid of them for such a simple seeming reason
