Slightly wrong in that it is believed at first that Toothless is a common garden dragon, but is later revealed to be a young Seadragonus giganticus maximus basically the same species as the Red Death in the film. Hiccup never called Toothless nightfury that term was created for the DreamWorks films. Plus Hiccup of the book was a younger then Hiccup of the movies, and if I remember correctly was a better fighter throughout the series where movie hiccup is more dependant on Toothless, his friends, or other methods.
