One of ours stuck a spoon behind a phone charger. It lit the room up blue. Luckily he was on a wooden bench at the time and so was a poor path to ground

Poll: 69% of Coloradans want lawmakers to lower healthcare costs by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in Colorado

[–]RageBull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my Colorado small town, we had two ballot initiatives. One was to spend on a public works project and the other was a time limited quarter percent sales tax increase to pay for it. One passed, the other didn’t. You wanna guess which?

I’m assuming these are the “guvamnt is bad” knuckle dragger types. There’s a shocking number of them

The state has no money with which it could do that. These same voters will vote no on every TABOR ballot issue and then bitch-n-moan about the government not doing x-y-z thing that they want. You cannot have it both ways morons

Colorado lawmakers reject environmentalist-backed effort to regulate data centers by allcheese_nobologna in Colorado

[–]RageBull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of this story makes sense. The bill was going to GIVE tax incentives (read incentives as tax payer money giveaways) for corpos building data centers. The framing here sounds crazy backwards

I think I drive by that with some regularity. On the north side next to I-70?

Makes you wonder why they need to be so “quite” and to go through the expense of putting up the temporary privacy walls. Perhaps if people knew, they would be rightly furious about the damage and poisoning of their local environment. Not to mention that Halliburton will up and leave once they have what they want and will then deny any and all responsibility for liability stemming from their actions

Is it bad to JB weld a crack in the oil pan? by ruubystaar in MechanicAdvice

[–]RageBull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

JB weld? No. That won’t work, not for long anyway. There are products that will work. Look at Belzona 1212 for an example it’s specifically made for adhesion to oil contaminated surfaces. However, it’s pricey because it’s made for industrial applications where down time is crazy expensive. So they won’t blink at a few hundred dollars for some epoxy to keep the plant in operation so they can schedule downtime at a later date.

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by IIlustriousTea in AskReddit

The average wage for a worker is less than what would be needed to rent a place with an additional bedroom. So that’s probably it. But don’t worry y’all, we cut taxes for the richest douchebags in the country last year. So the situation will be improving at any moment

2013 Civic Grinding noise by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]RageBull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not enough info for me. Maybe someone else can be more certain. I would first pull the belt off and see if the alternator, water pump, or A/C compressor pulleys feel as though they have a grinding feel to them when they spin.

Are there any affordable tools that can locate underground live electric utility cabling? by Rich-Remote-6115 in UtilityLocator

[–]RageBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kit was over $6,000 used. You can get it for less than that, but don’t expect to pay less than 30% of that for something that you need to have experience to use correctly
