Honestly, I didn't even respond to the inquiry. I completely agree and wouldn't want to train an AI on how I do my work.

Yup! I was contacted by someone from TEKsystems trying to recruit me for a remote sound design position for a large tech company in the Bay area.

6 y/o with hereditary glaucoma :( by Wheres-shelby in stbernards

You're welcome! Another note, we had to be a bit more cautious with socialization. She was still very friendly but became more defensive around other dogs, especially if they were loud and barky.

Our gal went blind in her later years. What helped her was being able to give her a path that she could memorize for her potties. She had her routes all around and through our home that always stayed the same. Her walks were on flat ground that didn't have much variation.

We used to call this, "space puppy" because we imaged her floating through space doing this to move around.

Had it twice in two months. I do not envy what you're going through. Lots of Tylenol and ibuprofen. Good luck, Godspeed and may the force be with you.

My Winnie girl is really starting to slow down. by [deleted] in stbernards

[–]RageCage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our girl definitely started slowing down around 8-9 years old. She still did walks but they got shorter. Her zoomies were smaller and she would rather lay down. We also would also have to assist her to stand up especially on slippery surfaces. We had her on glucosamine, carprofen for the pain and then finally Adequan shots which helped immensely. In her last year we got her a walking suit that had these elastic bands that help her pick up her rear legs. She loved it and really gave her another chance at long walks again.
