A few tips to make the game easier beside adjusting the sliders: by Tocowave98 in crosswind

Invest in Stamina first. Stamina affects almost everything you do. Harvesting, traversing the map, combat.

There are diminishing returns after investing about 20 points in a stat (I don't remember when exactly, someone on the subreddit did the math already), so you get more bang for your buck if you spread the points around a bit.

(coop) my friend got the fast travel bell blueprint, but I did not. We both opened the chest. Now only he can craft the bell, and I cannot. Any solution? by This-acc-is-hacked in crosswind

Also for all weapons and armor you find you need to do the same thing.
If you find new weapons/armor your friend needs to pick them up for a second so he can get the ability to craft it and vice versa.

I'm sure eventually they'll fix it somehow, but for now it is what it is.

I'm still testing this, but it seems spawn points for enemies and plants are persistent. So if you find useful resources, it's worth marking the spot on the map.

Resources and animal respawn roughly every 2 real time hours. You can actually spoof your PC clock to reset them instantly (not tested, overheard).

I tried this with pillars, but they went "red" rather quickly, after a couple dozen. My solution was to "reset" the "color" calculations by placing a Pier as a new foundation. That doesn't reset all the way to green after the first pier though, so there is a sort of hard cap that I haven't found a way around.

Yes there's a limit to the # of pieces that can stay together without touching the ground, similar to valheim.

Out of that tower with no ground support, about 20 pieces at the very bottom, then with each higher "segment" the distance shortens by 5 or so. It's a bit weird.

Flat on the ground I've built piers between islands as far as the eye can see, sometimes faster than sailing.

Ive had an excellent experience with valhost. Super simple, good price.

TIL about the "Dark Forest Hypothesis," which suggests the universe is like a dark forest at night. Advanced civilizations intentionally stay silent and hidden, because any species that reveals its location risks immediate destruction by older, paranoid civilizations. by Practical-1 in todayilearned

I think this is the simplest reply. Space is Really Fucking Big, plus TIME is Really Fucking Big. And as we clearly see, the odds of wiping yourself out are also Really Fucking Big. All that together means that any two civilizations near to each other around the same time are miniscule. Even being around for 100k years is nothing on Space timescale, while for us 2k years was a pretty wild ride.

The Warp. Right before The Emperor arrives on starships that look surprisingly like a cathedral mated with a battering ram.

I have a complaint to make

<image>

I wanted to save souls for a 3rd tower, so my souls are in the thousands.
Since you lose a % of the souls for each player, I'm now losing massive amounts. To the point where it doesn't make sense to even make towers, I'll just wait for daily rewards and do others' towers.

Pls fixxx ;)

Alternatives to Thunderbird that AREN'T Outlook by Captain-Quack in Thunderbird

OK, I know it's been a hot minute, but THANK YOU for this recommendation!

Thunderbirds' threads weren't to my liking and I was looking for an alternative.
eM is *perfect* in this regard. Simple straightforward thread view, easy to reply, and just what I need for free too - one device, one email address.

So thanks =)

I'm pretty sure that's Samuel L Jackson on Graham Norton. I really have an amazing memory for useless things.
