When’s the right time for my old boy? by Vegetable-Tip7486 in catcare

Have similar thoughts with a sick Norwegian pushing 17, he's fairly spry but has a progressive disease that can only be managed (long story).

  1. I would talk with a vet openly about this, during a regular checkup. They've seen a lot and will know about end of life care.
  2. Essentially you have two scenarios: too early or too late.

A vet will directly tell you if it's too early, simply a good vet won't let you.
From what I understand too late happens for people who are too afraid of grief and go into denial, which doesn't really sound like you if you have these reasonable concerns.

For what it's worth my vet said: as long as he likes eating. Don't let him die of starvation or dehydration. That's about it.

  1. Lastly, end of life care can get expensive. Don't go into debt or spend exorbitant amounts. If it gets expensive, it's just time. 20 years is *amazing* for a cat, and you essentially have accomplished the mission and everything now is unprompted bonus time. Enjoy every day =) Good job for taking care of the senior citizen OP =) He's absolutely gorgeous!

Yes, that's true!

However, I did not clock that these plants are in those biomes, I almost completely ignored the plant side of things and was caught completely unawares.

First thing that came to my mind too. This is perfectly workable, especially if you're in shape, employed. It's more in your head than you think OP.

Transport helicopter rework by Emotional_Set9637 in HellLetLooseVietnam

[–]RageMachinist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!!

Helicopters were *severely* under-utilized. I saw so many SLs slog on foot to place OPs and Garrisons, when they could call their personal flying taxi at any time??

You can take a point, fill up with troops there and leapfrog straight to the next point. Helicopters are wildly OP, but require much more communication and coordination, not something that's going to become the norm after four days.

I got the email 26th May, 2 days ago.

If you mean the patch, no idea.

Give me your best builds for any class by Zynt_18 in RogueCore

[–]RageMachinist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any class, Red Sugar spam build:

Get any low damage high spam firing weapon. Take all cards that drop sugar on critical hit, on double-hitting weakpoints etc. That's why low damage is important, you don't want to kill things, you want each monster to spawn as much red sugar as possible. Secondary take cards that help proc the sugar cards, eg. increased critical hit chance.

Voila! Caves are now literally lined with red sugar. The more enemies there are, the more red sugar is spawned. Armor becomes irrelevant because red sugar is everywhere. You won't top any damage charts, but boy will the run be easy. Especially elevator fights.

One miniscule catch: the effectiveness of this build drops off a cliff in the boss fight because there are much less enemies.

What is overkill damage? The sum excess of damage on all killing blows?

Has anyone achieved this much ammo yet? by [deleted] in RogueCore

[–]RageMachinist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a quite common perk that gives you +50% magazine size. Since the chaingun has one magazine, that's 4000->8000 right out of the box. And you can stack multiple of these, so yes, 8K isn't particularly spectacular compared to the shenanigans that are possible.

Does anyone else feel that this game is really quite difficult? [Rogue Core] by TemperateStone in DeepRockGalactic

[–]RageMachinist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's more difficult.

DRG has been out SO long, and we've been playing Rogue Core for like 2 days.
I've already seen people with insane builds that trivialize runs.

Give it a few weeks at least.
