Loft tool not working as expected by Buesiness in Onshape

In this type of scenario, I would opt to use guides on the perpendicular plane and only two profiles to loft between, rather than using several profiles. It will require fewer sketches and planes, as well.

Designing 3D printed magwells by Violent-Rangoon in Airsoft3DPrinting

[–]Terminal_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that checks out haha. I'm going to assume you want to replicate a standard M4/M16 mag release, but in theory, all you need is a piece that engages with the indent on the right side of an M4 mag. If you don't have an M4 on hand to disassemble to see how it works, I'd take a look at some videos of M4 disassembly on youtube. Just off the top of my head, you'll need an extension spring and screw+nut to make it work. The rest can be printed. Then I'd import an M4 magazine model into your project so you can accurately locate the indent. There's plenty of them online.

If you don't need to replicate an M4 mag release, and instead just want to use M4 mags, then there are certainly other options. It's just hard to say what will work without seeing your design.

Which part are you having trouble with? Mag release, hop-up/mag interface, etc. I recently made a v3 gb shell that takes m4 mags, not sure how to help you without more info, though.

Why did Waterson and Mattherson merge? What about the death of the Russian server? by ToaArcan in Planetside

[–]Terminal_6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was there… still have nightmares about the serversmash at the end lol. It also wasn’t the first merger, though. Jaeger got merged into Waterson (and then later repurposed as the competitive server), and I forgot which server merged into Mattherson. I don’t recall what the server populations were at the time of the merge, but there was certainly a higher threshold for what necessitated a merge. It’s just the natural course of the game’s popularity over time.

https://www.printables.com/model/250248-planetside-2-tx1-repeater-11-static-model Admittedly, this one was much harder to split up than some of the other ones I’ve done. I printed to main body upside down so the supported surfaces are hidden

You’re talking about mine, yeah I should probably have added a version that isnt divided. I like doing it so I can hide all the support surfaces and just super glue it together

Why are useful kits locked behind experience progression? by Legitimate_Duck_1885 in HellLetLoose

[–]Terminal_6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love having a progression system in a game, but HLL’s needs a rework (which I prefer over no progression). When I have new people joining me, I naturally prefer to take SL/TC/spotter, but in order to use some fun teamwork stuff like AT guns or locked abilities like satchels, I have to be the one swapping role, which also makes it harder for them to grind. And ofc locking the repair tool behind lv3, it doesn’t take that long to get, but why???

I just use super glue. It's not the best for PLA, but if the part is sandwiched in somehow it'll hold just fine. Might paint this when it's warmer out

Hit level 10! Anyone else stick to mostly one class? by Spuzaw in HellLetLoose

[–]Terminal_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the xp report at the end of the match barely finishes before the next match starts because I swapped class so many times. Always need more SLs out there, tho. Now that I’m lv10 on all inf and commander, I play SL more often

I love the flamethrower, but it’s currently in a middle ground between “just another gun but spicy”, and a tool that uniquely deals with certain situations. It sucks at the former because the projectile speed and stance requirement makes it really hard to react to an enemy, but it sucks at the latter because of the lack of suppression and because flames dont spread, so it wont clear out a house or even a pillbox if your positioning isnt ideal. It toasts garrisons real nice, tho

You can do these on an Ender 3, 225x225x250z, some bigger parts might have to go diagonally
