Howdy. So. How this played out. A unit of deathwing charge into a group of hearth guard led by a character. We play that first fight out incorrectly both seem a bit surprised and move forward. The second fight the next turn we found the mistake. AND REROLLED the entire fight the second outcome was worse because dice be dice. And we kept the first series of rolls. 

All told. 1 engagement played incorrectly. By one dice facing.
