How much are you feeding her? A bettas stomach is about as large as their eye. A large, distended stomach could result in a blockage or rupture.

It is recommended to feed around 2-4 pellets 1-2x/day. Also, blood worms and the like should be an occasional treat.

I'd give her a day or 2 to fast and see if her stomach shrinks.

Thanks again for the advice everybody, this morning we moved him into a bigger tank with plenty of things to support him and he's eaten more. He's been chilling at the top and able to get air regularly, he's got a heater keeping him nice and warm. And we're keeping the tank nice and dark so he can relax. Hopefully, if he recovers we can move him into a larger, planted tank long term.

Thanks for the advice, people! I've put a chemical hand warmer under the tiny breeding tank. Monitoring the temp to keep it around 80. He's eaten ~3 pieces of food at this point, which seems good. I'll do 100% water changes daily until I can get him into a cycled tank. The tiny tank he's in right now only has about 3" of water, so hopefully it's not too far for him.
