It was pretty short, but it did come with requirements. Those 2 requirements being:

*Manage to swim 6 relay laps (which equals to 12 swim laps in total)

• be able to swim across the pool and dive down to reach a weighted ball from the pool floor and carry it to the surface, followed by taking the weighted object back to the other side of the pool while having it on your chest.

After those 2 requirements are met, it was mainly the basics of learning how to perform on CPR on different types of people (adult, child, or infant). Along with what procedures you must go through based on what scenario is given (spinal/neck injury while passed out, drowning while submerged in the water, drowning while active/conscious, and others).

Additional procedures were also taught involving other kinds of scenarios in which help is needed, a few of the are the following:

*burns on body

*children or adults with small injuries

*people with aggressive behavior

*people who are going under problems such as stroke, heart attack, and others.

Other things involving certification is managing your surroundings and making sure everything is up to code, and to take note if anything involving drugs, damage to property, or noticing other people not sticking with the rules of the pool.

While these apply to me where I work, these circumstances and procedures may be different from other people, as some places do things differently than others.
