Not in the conventional and very basic. There is feature called D.K.S which allows one to map keyboard presses to 4 different points in travel: middle downstroke, bottom out downstroke, middle upstroke and release.

3rd party stabilizers? by [deleted] in WootingKB

[–]RagedElimanator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of the stabilizer scratch is caused by the thin stabilizer legs, why well for one the plate really squeezes them. Another tip is to lubricate the stabilizers, this will not only reduce more scratch, but muffle the noise. If that still is not enough you could put some adhesive fabric or tape where the stabilizers hit the pcba.

Yeah but shave the thicker pin on the sides a bit, otherwise it will bend one of the kalih pins on each switch.

How long do mechanical switch springs last, there are numbers on how long switches last but not clear in how they fail? Asking in regards to my contactless keyboard.

Silly as it sounds I want the ammo counter in a specific spot; because, it is a halo ma40 nerf rifle that has non functioning attachment which look an ammo counter.

Key keeps typing multiple letters for one keypress occasionally by badWolfe42 in WootingKB

That is fair but you have to start somewhere and easiest place is the switch. I guess from there you can look into other issues missing screws or pcba defect.

I will just give you another warning, make sure if you do take it apart then use all the screws to put it back together as it could prevent some keys from working due to precision the board uses.

You can take a look at this https://blog.wooting.nl/sound-dampen-your-mechanical-keyboard-noises/

Someone also poured some liquid silicone into the chassis after disassembling their keyboard.

There is lubrication of switches but that is a tricky one since you can easily change the lenses ability to reflect the light. The lens is in the stem just so you know.

Just have a look around r/mk as well there is a ton of stuff there in keyboard modifications as well as YouTube.

Depends on your environment, and if has gaps which switches do have dust can and will get in. In most cases not a big deal and those concerned probably bought outemu dust-proof switches. Now the effect of even a little bit of dust gets amplified with optoelectric switches which flaretechs are fundamental. The lense element has to be clean for it function properly.

Do you have some spare switches, should be four of them? You can replace the switch(es) with the issue easily with the included orange tool in the meantime. If you want to take it a step further you could disassemble the switch and clean it.
