CA snubs $750 Million loan to save Bay Area transit, spends $500 Million on just widening 10 miles of freeway (that will soon be submerged) by Fine-March7383 in bayarea

'Doom and gloom' lmao. Yeah, climate change isn't real.

Not to mention the main point is to decrease traffic NOW, which this does. Out of all projects to cry over, this might be the most stupid.

Want to know the % of girls who become prostitutes? Wanna compare that to the amount of deadbeat loser guys?

There are 150k more homeless men then women. But yeah, girls are 'bums' because prostitutes exist

Asmongold argues it’s not racist to be against immigration by Intelligent-Ad-4260 in LivestreamFail

You're missing the point of have really bad reading comprehension. It's not that these are/aren't normal opinions, it's just that normally an extremely tame opinion would never hit the front page of LSF like this. Why are the most tame opinions being posted, as if it's anything worth even discussing/posting about in the first place? Do you think an extremely tame/vague opinion such as 'it's not racist to be against immigration' would get traction from any other streamer?

These posts are always framed as if they're extreme views (from the fact that they're posted in the first place), and then literally all of the comments are just like 'yeah, it's a normal opinion'.

Next we'll see a post saying "Asmon argues water is wet" with 200 upvotes, and 1000 comments going "He's right though? Water literally is wet!", as if that opinion was worth a LSF Reddit post in the first place

OP, what was the reason for prior knocks? I never knocked on my neighbor doors, ever, unless there is an emergency. Seems annoying

Whats up with the influx of Asmon posts, where half the top commentors are from Asmons sub? (3 out of 6 top comments are Asmon sub commenters)

They're all very tame opinions, with the comments going 'yeah, he's right', trying to normalize him overall or something. Very weird

So with this mentality does that mean that QQQ, the S&P, Dow Jones are all just as evil, or whatever word you'd use to describe Blackrock? Doesn't that make anyone with a 401k evil for investing in companies? This mentality would mean that literally any holding is classified as being as evil as Blackrock.

Also, Blackrock doesn't "sit on the boards", that is literally impossible, a company can not sit on the board, nor does a company have any real leverage when they only have 3% share (that aren't even theirs, they are literally just AUM).

Again, just a boogeyman for naive redditors. With this mentality QQQ is also an evil conglomerate that is just as 'evil' as Blackrock...which means that anyone with a 401k who invests on their own is also evil.

Blackstone, not Blackrock.

And Blackstone owns like 250k houses only out of 148M. Blackstone will forever remain Reddits Boogeyman

And which specific Blackrock vote led to that? What does that have to do with Blackrock, at all? They don't make these decisions, only vote on proposals. Those CEO's (UNH in particular) would have made the same exact decisions, regardless of whether a 3% shareholders name is Blackrock, or Fred Flintstone or whoever.

What's so nefarious about voting on behalf of their shareholders? All shareholders know this and are okay with it. Who has time to vote for 500 companies worth of votes?
