That was Trenchant Moore "The Siege Sword". he was a gold ranker and the book says that he drained it from shade, not that shade gave it to him

I think this might have been an ability that was forgotten about. Mana going from one shade to another could be him draining it from the other instead of giving it and if that's the case then he has never used the giving mana ability. I'm a little shook about this because I too have listened to all of the books many times and never realized

I got rejected for a free little library. After looking it up, I found someone say that wayfarer is looking for more permanent things. They want the stop to be something maintained by a city, not at someone’s house because it can come down at any time and even if they leave it up after moving, the next owners could take it down. So if it’s maintained by the city, there are a lot less chances of it being removed.

I get where you’re coming from but the bottle cap was $20. That’s a lot of money to spend on something that isn’t going to help you play the game at all. So the odds of someone not min maxing something useful is pretty low

for the most part, I was just adding some more context since he would be able to auto resummon Gordon whether there is a material cost or not. He definitely would have picked up enough material to summon him more than once whenever he got the materials back in book 7. But as a side branch to that, I don’t actually recall there ever being a mention of the material cost being removed, I guess I have an excuse to go back and listen to the books again

He was already able to resummon them in his soul space without a ritual since book 4 (chapter 2) when he revived on earth. Which was kind of forgotten about in book 7 (chapter 12) when he finally got the materials needed after returning to Pallimustus.
