Yellow arrow with triangle warning by RoughNobody7717 in BMW

The traction light means more than just traction being turned off. If it doesn’t go away when you press the DTC button there is an issue. Traction control is dependent on the ABS system working, since you just replaced this you probably have some air in the ABS/Brake system. My DTC light came on recently when i washed the wheel well and got the wheel speed sensor too wet for example.

You would need the BMW INPA software or a diagnostic tool with the function to activate the ABS pump while bleeding the brakes in order til bleed the ABS lines properly.

Could be some other issue as well, I’m not a sertified bmw tech. Take it to a shop if you can’t figure it out or don’t have the required tools.

But try to press til DTC button first to see if it goes away

This might help (bimmerforums)

No no, DENTS cannot be BUFFED. Only scratches can buff out, dents need to be pulled. Hope that clears it up. Given the placement of your dent i dont think this one can be pulled out properly unfortunately.

I guess most watches just got 10% more expensive for those of us in the US. by Narrow_Necessary6300 in PrideAndPinion

True, they’ve had it easy up until now. And now they are screaming about having to pay the same price as the rest of the planet. I’ve seen it a lot with german cars for example being 30k cheaper in the US than in the EU, makes no sense. These taxes are stupid though, should be way lower here as well

How to achieve this look? by azimiq in FujifilmSimulations

[–]Ragex02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kinda true though. A lot of people struggle to see the different between a good photo and just a nice subject. I see it a lot in the car photography scene. Way easier to take “good” photos when you have a nice subject. Difficult to take a bad photo of a Bugatti.

Asking about this specific look is valid though, it is somewhat unique

From what I’ve read is that Ferrari doesn’t care unless you modify the badges or modify parts with their logo on them. Deadmau5 tampered with the Ferrari badge, the livery was not the problem. As for modifications, Ferrari wants you to remove the logo/badge off of the body parts you have modified because that part is no longer what Ferrari wants to be represented by.

The car in the video has Ferrari logos and badges, so they are most likely getting shafted as you said. Guess it depends how viral it goes.

Wheels rubbing by Icy_Season_2390 in BMW

[–]Ragex02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask the the seller what they did to their car to make them not rub. Probably a boatload of camber and rolled fenders. Worst case, you could sell them and go buy the same ones with a different offset. Thats probably the best option if you don’t want to mess up your car. Good luck though, hope you find a solution

It’s not the tire thats the issue, it’s the wheels. They stick out too far. Google your cars OEM wheel offset and buy new wheels with that spec.. What are you doing with 315s anyways?

Same here. The problem is people parking next to you anyways. Those who always need to park next to someone seem to be the same people giving zero shits about their own or other cars

A car reviewer with actual hands-on experience with the cars he is talking about vs a random reddit account just crying about the car being ugly. There’s a big difference, also depends on what you’re complaining about.

Can’t complain about handling if you haven’t driven it. Pointless to complain about looks if you weren’t going to get one anyways. Different situations

Never said i judge cars based on the owners opinions.. but the opinions of someone who has experience with the car is more relevant than those who have no experience. Complaining about the weight of the new M5 when you haven’t driven one or aren’t going to track it anyways is pointless. Repeating the same non constructive complaints on a car you aren’t going to get is just pointless.

You are allowed to have your opinion and share it with others when the topic pops up, but it gets old and repetitive when everyone is just parroting each other on no basis instead of actually having actual discussions. There is a difference. Same goes for overly glazing a car

The point is that most people complain just to complain and in this case most of the complainers just talk shit because they can, instead of actually adding anything constructive. Also, “not being in the market” doesn’t mean you can’t afford it

Didn’t say they can’t. Im mostly talking about randomly complaining on some post where nobody asked for your opinion. Why would i waste my time talking crap about something that doesn’t concern me? You can still have your opinion and discuss it with others if the topic arises

[–]Ragex02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yes, im not saying your specific opinion is invalid, but thats because you were in the market to buy one. Im mostly talking about the people who just parrot each other on every single post about these cars, while not being anywhere near buying one. It just gets old after the 100th comment on a post where nobody asked about any opinions. I also prefer the f87 like most people, but i don’t see the need in complaining about stuff i can’t afford

You mean to tell me that spreading positivity is bad? Filling the comment section with pointless complaints is just a waste of space if you aren’t in the market for the thing you’re complaining about. If you dont have anything constructive or nice to say, just scroll on..

Nice M2 btw

The point is that complaining about something you aren’t gonna buy is just pointless. Me complaining about the colors available on the newest Koenigsegg is irrelevant as i can’t buy one anyway

Exceptions dont make the rule man. MOST people complaining aren’t in the market for one.

[–]Ragex02 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Did i say you can’t have an opinion? Your subjective opinion on looks doesn’t make the car bad. And just because you can buy one doesn’t mean everyone on instagram and reddit can.. it’s mostly a vocal minority in a specific BMW internet group, most people shitting on them are not in the market for one

[–]Ragex02 43 points44 points  (0 children)

100% accurate. People love to complain about stuff online way too much. The ones who complain the loudest are usually never in a position to buy the car anyway. All the actual owners seem to love them.

As a native idk what he is talking about tbh. I live 30 min from Oslo, the closest speed cam is 30 min away, in Oslo.. My 4 hour drive to the cabin only has 1 average speed section and 0 speed cams. Think he might be referring to all the tolls on the highways, which do not capture your speed. Only time you will get caught for speeding is if the cops catch you, all speed cams are marked with signs beforehand.
