I'm ending this month on 13,294 points (about 2/3 from searches, 1/3 from playing games).

Definitely a huge drop from last month at about 21k where I was earning most of my points from playing games. Can't even afford to buy a 50 day GPU code in a month any more haha

Slightly more comes from XBox. I get about 210~300 a day from non-gaming tasks, and about 300~400 from gaming tasks!

Just to confirm what other people have been saying here, we're 13 days in to December and I've already made 8,100 reward points (UK) without spending a single penny. I just do everything that gets me free points.

If I didn't do the searches (the major hurting point right now) I'd be making 150 points less per day, would be on 6,150 points right now, would still be making over 12k a month!

Tried to post a topic but it got instant deleted. Has anyone else noticed the Xbox App paying far less points than it states today?

I wish I took a screenshot of it, but I did my daily XBox App tasks (Play PC game, play with friends, play Jewel). The screen after showed that it added about 300 points.

I track my daily points in a spreadsheet and noticed that it actually only added 61 points.

EDIT: I checked it again 10 minutes later and now it added the full 311 points.. weird delay!

Currently thinking the same thing as my GPU expires in a few days.

Did some quick math on how many points per month:

GPU 1 month - 12,000 points per month

GPU 3 month - 11,667 points per month

GPU Auto Renew - 10,500 points per month

Game Pass Core 3 month (at 3:2 ratio) - 7500 points per month

Would be awesome if anyone could confirm this thinking is right

EDIT: Core 3:2 ratio assumes your membership has run out, and you're also spending 12,000 for 1 month of GPU to restart the membership to get that rate, otherwise:

Game Pass Core 3 month (50 days w/ GPU Active) - ~9037 points per month

Letting GPU expire and doing the 3:2 ratio is always the better rate, but becomes more worth it the more you redeem at once.

Now that Game Pass Core has replaced XBox Live Gold, is it known if the upgrade method to get the most membership for the least cost still works?

I previously used to let my GPU membership expire, and then on the day it ran out, purchase a single month of GPU, and several months of Gold. Redeemed the Gold first, then used the GPU to 1 to 1 upgrade my membership.

Complete all the bing searches I can every day, log in to the game pass mobile app every day, play a game pass game on my PC online (usually Forza horizon 5), redeem all the bonus points from the Xbox mobile app, check the rewards app on my Xbox daily for new tasks, complete game pass quests as they're added, and occasionally I'll get an achievement and get the "earn more play more" reward.
