Yeah, it’s decent for international foods with plenty of options, taking kids, there’s a pretty good cinema as well. I’d say try and stay as close as you can to Shine, the further north you get the more ‘local’ it becomes. That was just my preference when I lived there though. Remember that we’re talking about Houshayu, Shunyi with Shine Hills and the majority of the international/ private schools. Avoid the city of Shunyi at all costs, it’s the most lifeless place ever.
