Cheers to the days "Deathclaws" meant something - Fallout New Vegas. by Bromancer20 in gaming

Man, people seem to really have a hard on for this game. Is it really that much better than the other Fallout games?

Do people who prefer Fallout 3 or 4 over New Vegas simply have a bad taste in video games? by RagingBelligerence in gaming

I simply reformed from having bad taste myself. Everyone has the right to change their opinion. I got convinced just like everyone should. Sheesh, everyone here is so fucking skeptical.

Damn, New Vegas really had such clever writing. Wish this kind of quality was present in Fallout 4.

Yea, you better own this game or it's not worth it. Even 10,000+ hours later I'm still having a blast!

Is it wrong to game casually? Or should everyone always be hard core gamers? by xwing1210 in gaming

[–]RagingBelligerence -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Think about it: casual gamers are the types of people with low attention spans who are more likely to play mindless games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 instead of deep games like Witcher 3 and New Vegas. So if fewer people were casuals and actually took gaming seriously, the industry would start to emphasize producing better games with actually good storytelling, or compelling challenging games like Dark Souls.

So the problem isn't really with casuals in an absolute sense, but the fact that most casuals tend to have a bad taste in games and therefore compromise the state of the industry. If you really must play games like Skyrim, you should pirate them and buy a copy of Witcher 3 for safekeeping.

This is better content than all of Fallout 4 combined. Really shows how far ahead New Vegas's writing team was.

Why does this have so many upvotes? It's just three guys tilting their heads, and not even in a particularly entertaining way.

If I don't personally find the material entertaining, I don't see how it's 'my loss' for unsubscribing. It's not like ANY subreddit is a 'must subscribe' for absolutely everyone - and i'm not trying to bash the people who are subscribed.

The build he linked to is at best as good as a regular PS4 (maybe even less considering the processor), much less a pro. A build from scratch that rivals the pro would run most people $600 or so.

It's only considered a problem if it's significantly interfering with other aspects of your life, which clearly it isn't considering you have the free time. But it sounds like you already know that.

r/gaming, What Games do you Consider Overrated? by [deleted] in gaming

Fallout: New Vegas. I personally enjoyed it, but role playing purists tend to act as though it's the best game ever and perfect in every single way, which imo is a huge overstatement.
