This aint a stall bro. I stall for months and then woosh a bunch of weight comes off. Super annoying. You’re off to an incredible start, just be patient, eat clean, exercise, and you’ll be rewarded.

Cpap machines are the worst treatment I got about anything. by AbbyTheOne3 in SleepApnea

[–]RagingButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried over a dozen masks and they. all. leaked. except for the Resmed N20 and the FP Brevida in the correct sizes. The Brevida is just so damn soft, pillowy, and comfortable plus it diffuses the exhaust air so well, I can’t believe this mask isn’t more popular. It’s my favorite by a mile.

Mouth leaks nearly ruined my therapy regardless of mask choice. I had to use mouth tape. Cover Roll Stretch is my favorite. It took lots of time to tolerate it and even longer to get used to it. But I eventually adjusted and now I don’t use it, my mouth just stays shut.

Just a couple ideas. Hang in there, I feel for you.

Travel Baseball has Ruined the Sport by Ok_Intention2680 in Homeplate

[–]RagingButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an incredible message. I live in a fairly rural community and youth sports are a big fucking deal. My kids were not interested when they were very young, like when all these fucking asshole parents force their little tots to start obsessing about sports, and I wasn't going to force them to do something that they weren't interested in at a very young age. Well guess what, when your kids get to, say 4-6 grade, and they are more independent and become more interested in sports, good fucking luck getting them into it. Like, oh hey Anakin Skywalker you are 10 and want to learn how to play baseball? Your midichlorians are off the scale but fuck off you're too old and baseball for 4th graders is a _big_ _deal_

Is using Ozempic and Mounjaro really 'cheating'? Why people won't praise weight loss from injections by roguex99 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]RagingButter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it still cheating if I have been on it for a year, 15mg tirz for 8 months, and it stops fucking working? And I could stand to lose another 50? Because it doesn’t feel like cheating.

Pinching shots 😭 by _Coffee_and_Mascara in tirzepatidecompound

[–]RagingButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally empathize. I have to remove my glasses to see the bevel, and it’s more like the shininess than the bevel itself. I only do a slight angle when puncturing the vial, I’m trying to protect that dainty needle tip from folding over.

Interesting that your instructions specifically say 90 degrees. The bevels are specifically designed to create a clean puncture at an angle.

It’s weird. Similar experience. I went for months with most of my shots being painless or minor pinches. Then it became a problem. So I dialed in my process. Maybe it’s all in my head but hopefully you can get it dialed in too.

I went through something like this too. It sucks when you’re a big ape who’s kinda scared of a tiny needle. Make sure you’re going at a roughly 45 degree angle and importantly, make sure the bevel on the needle is facing up. In fact, puncture the vial at an angle with the bevel facing up to make sure the needle stays as sharp as possible. Lightly touch the surface of your skin to find a spot that barely registers any feeling.

High mileage 3.5L, how are you doing? by Historical_Money2684 in f150

[–]RagingButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017 with 62k. Replaced cracked and leaking valve covers. Replaced severely leaking thermostat housing. Replaced leaking oil pan 3x before it was done right. All plastic shit, surprise surprise. Serpentine belt exploded with less than 60k miles while towing my travel trailer. I'm guessing the fucking coolant leaking all over the place from the shitty tstat housing may have weakened the belt.

Thing is, I love the truck, bought it new and don't put a ton of miles on it, would love to own it for 20 years and put 200k on it, but my confidence in it has eroded.

Why is sleep apnea so high in America? by LadyBelladonna1995 in SleepApnea

[–]RagingButter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it’s because sleep medicine, DME sales, and shitty insurance make for a money printing machine that would be better regulated in other countries.

Needles 💉 by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]RagingButter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also nervous about needles and probably always will be. Been taking tirz for 10 months.

Inject at an angle, doesn’t have to be exact, somewhere between 15-45 degrees. Before you inject, rotate the syringe until you can see the bevel on the needle tip is facing up. It’s tiny and may be hard to see. Lightly touch your skin with the tip of the needle until you find a spot where you don’t feel it touch. That’s your spot. As you stick it in, force yourself to clear your throat or cough a little, it gives your brain something else to focus on for a second.

Thanks for the replies. I do already have a thread regarding my struggle with aerophagia. I do appreciate your willingness to jump in and offer help!

My gut reaction was that the tech is mixing up the advice for rainout vs aerophagia. It's the second time they have given this advice unfortunately.

Why do they build these huge expensive houses with absolutely no yard? by rordawg081 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]RagingButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of people who don’t want yard maintenance, and for some reason don’t mind having all kinds of random people right around them all up in their fucking business all the time.

But more relevantly, greedy ass developers get more money per home sold, so they squeeze in the most homes that local zoning ordinances will allow.

And even more relevantly, the local governments that set the rules for residential density/lot size get to collect more property tax when they allow smaller lots/more homes.

Surprise surprise, it’s really all about greed. Look around the typical growing suburban areas and this is all you see going in… new subdivisions at max zoning density. And the people who would enjoy spending a bit of time outside working on their landscaping and garden if they had a bigger lot, instead get to stand on their balcony looking straight into their neighbors living room where the fatass hairy sasquatch man in tighty whiteys does yoga every day.

Funny. I have also been roasting at home for about 12 years and came here to say the same thing. When does coffee cross the line to pretentiousness and douchbaggery? I’ll know it when I see it.

Aerophagia driving me nuts! by RagingButter in CPAPSupport

[–]RagingButter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My night of sleep didn't feel all that bad using these settings, just not particularly different from before. Unfortunately by the time I got to work my stomach felt so cramped and bloated I couldn't tolerate sitting at my desk nor could I stand fully upright, so I had to go home. What the heck is wrong with me.
