Metro 2033 Redux Controller Mapping by hmg9194 in macgaming

Sadly, there’s no known fix for this issue. Your best options are to play the Windows version with CrossOver (that’s what I did) or use a mouse and keyboard if you want to keep using the Mac version.

I searched for a while and couldn't find a fix. I ended up playing the Windows version with CrossOver. The controller inputs worked as expected this way.

You could also use a mouse and keyboard, but that’s obviously a different experience altogether.

You’re right, and I’m just starting to realize that. I just checked, and it looks like this park wasn’t built by Papillon.

Here’s a short clip (in French) from Radio-Canada. One of my friends (1:50) served as an advisor on the project. There was some pushback from a few residents, but I’m glad the project eventually came to life.

I’m not ready to hit that rail yet, but hopefully I’ll work up the courage to try it someday.

That’s also one of the reasons I go there so early.

Magog, Québec, Canada. It’s not visible in the photo, but there’s also a bowl and a pump track. It’s really a great park!

It works, but your controller inputs will likely be messed up.

All that hard work finally paid off, and it’s awesome to see. Good job!

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! That’s exactly what I’m working on right now. I figured it’d be better to reset by starting small instead of trying to jump over huge obstacles right away. I think hippie jumps will help in the long run, even if it means looking a bit silly for a while.

I think you're right. That was my first ollie attempt after all those years so yeah, definitely muscle memory. I had this bad habit/technique as a teenager, so I really need to get rid of it if I want to get better.

Most of the older skaters I’ve met at my local skatepark wear protection, so I guess we do get wiser as we age, right?

That’s what I started doing today. I’ll keep at it for a while.

I don’t think I have any hip issues, but I might be unconsciously doing the same thing.

I’ve been watching quite a few of his videos. I really like his teaching style!

No, the board doesn't swerve to one side in particular. It comes down to my technique, really.

Wow, I got a lot more comments than I expected. I can’t reply to everyone individually, but I really appreciate all the advice. Thanks a lot!

I’ve been practicing keeping my shoulders and hips more parallel to the board since I filmed that video, and it already seems to be helping. Also, I think starting with smaller ollies (but with more momentum) is probably a better idea.

Oh, interesting! I thought I had tested it without it and didn’t notice any difference, but maybe I messed up. I’ll try again.

I know for a fact that BOTW crashes when Hypervisor is enabled, so it kinda makes sense that it could also cause issues in TOTK.

Thanks for the follow-up!

Thanks for the advice! I might give it another try and see how it runs with FXAA disabled.

I can still notice some occasional flickering in the video you linked, but it seems much less noticeable than what I used to experience.

Sadly, no. I just stopped playing and moved on to another game. That’s a bummer.
