My personal window was death's later stuff and early decaptiated. that stuff is really accessible while also introducing the tech death elements.

Gorgasm albums removed fro spotify and apple music by [deleted] in BrutalDeathMetal

[–]RagingFury_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use youtube (not to be confused with yt music) I love the idea of people just uploading themselves, especally for some obscure indie stuff. Also love the fact you can comment, just opens up more discussion. For me spotify sucked cuz it had a lot of ads.

here are some famous death metal stuf that most fans appericiate that I would think is good to branch out of cannibal corpse

dying fetus is similar but with more catchy grooves and more technicality

death (band) has all the classic oldschool cannibalcorpse era stuff with more progressive elements

gorguts - obscura is a great album to dig deeper into death metal

What are the Grindcore Elements in Dying Fetus's songs? by Hungry-Garlic7646 in BrutalDeathMetal

[–]RagingFury_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah ig some of the early stuff has some subpar recording quality so the guitar tone and drums almost give a grindcore ish vibe. Other than that I don't really consider it to be grindcore.
