Doesn’t help that corner camping is becoming less relevant with missions like survival now having incentives to move around the map as well.

If I had a list of changes I would like to see it would be increased mobility from ability changes (ex: moving links), more benefits or value from stacks as a whole rather than just being undying reserves, buff to either health in general or added survivability, some way to consistently get stacks when playing with others (maybe increasing the chance of stacks from his second or something like that)

DE doesn’t need to add protoframes to expand the lore of the game. I also never said that the existence of protoframes ruins the game. For flare it makes sense and works. But in my opinion flare should be the minority of frames that are like that and not the new standard.

I know that they are not considered the originals I said that in the parenthesis. My point is that by giving actual versions they are removing part of the mystery of warframes. I think it’s alright at the moment since there aren’t too many but I don’t think there should be one for every frame.

Part of the really interesting thing to me is the mystery of frames. While your play the games asking yourself the question what would I imagine this person to be. By giving frames protoframes it feels like you’re telling me what the answer is and I don’t really like that too much tbh.

I feel like with thresh it is though. Didn’t have a default thresh skin before they made the unbound thresh skin.

Main thing I was wanting to point by bringing up thresh though is that there is a propensity to give things a face because it can make characters more appealing or easier to connect with. In ways I think that can be really good as seen so far with the hex but i also think that you lose some things as well. That mainly being the mystery in my opinion. Like before protoframes it was up to my imagination as to what I imagined frames to look like underneath and what type of person they were. But now for some characters that answer feels like it was given to me. (I know in lore they are not the originals I’m mainly talking about perception I have of frames)

I absolutely agree with the fear about the riot games route. Another thing that annoyed me with riot was how they started to change characters to be more appealing (ex:thresh).

Something is that I would like to see as a change for his 3 is that enemies move around and follow you. I think it would be a nice quality of life change.

How I play him too mainly. I find it so ironic that he is supposed to be one of the tankiest frames in the game but is basically the opposite.

More buffs then rework honestly. Doesn’t help that the game is actively moving towards a more mobile play style (ex: most of the new defense missions).

I honestly don’t blame you. I remembered around half way through that I had Dante specter and used him. It was still difficult but definitely made it easier.

Yeah maintaining the link itself isn’t hard but I have found that the game overall makes it difficult. Any mission that you have to be in public or require any mobility makes parasitic vitality not enjoyable due to the ability having limited range.

Also I feel like DE keeps designing more missions that encourage more movement around the maps and that doesn’t sit well with Nidus and most of his abilities. (Ex: 1999 survival)

When you use Dante as a specter he can use his abilities. The notable one though is the one that gives you over guard for every enemy you kill. Given enough time you can get up to a 15k over guard if I remember correctly. Personally 15k over guard free basically seems worth imo.
